From check in with unfriendly staff it just went downhill. This place is really tired. The bathroom floor and shower were dirty. The bathroom was incredibly tiny. The toilet seat had a strange tilt so you felt as if you were falling backwards when sitting down. The shower was so small that the water hit the wall of the shower and it was impossible to get in front of the stream of water. Washing/rinsing consisted of dribbles from under the tap. Very unsatisfactory. There were no outlets for charging on the bedside table. The heater/ac was a stand alone unit in the bedroom which was extremely noisy. The door to the room was not aligned properly and it took several attempts to open. Breakfast was adequate although the lighting in the room made me very suspicious of what they were trying to hide. DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE.

Walking to downtown Los Gatos was a bit scary, had to walk across a total of four on and off ramp highway crossings. The bar/restaurant derive was great. Our room for a two night stay faced the side lot that butted up against the main road. No view, just overlooking a parking lot. At 1 am three tour buses showed up and power washed their luggage bays and cleaned their buses. So loud right outside our sliding door. Of course called the front desk multiple times with no answer. I gather they saw our room number on call and knew what the issue was so did not pick up. I would never stay here again. In the morning multiple guests came in with large plastic bags and wiped out everything as fast as the poor wait staff could refill the breakfast tables. It was weird and all other guests were talking about it. I image they are housing some of the homeless in the San Jose area. Probably a program with the county.

The service was absolutely excellent! The two at the front desk when we arrived were very kind. The young lady gave us a recommendation for dinner and it was fantastic. There was a free breakfast that my children enjoyed. We will be back soon.

Hotel was old. Grounds pretty and parking easy. Good price for location. I would not stay there again.

The staff was great and very helpful and pleasant. The room was great, it just smelled a little bit. Really enjoyed the pool and walking around the grounds, very pretty.

The entire property needs a thorough update. The service was good, but the room was in bad shape. The bathroom, air conditioner, bed, all in below average condition.

Pretty basic place, garden view had more cement than garden and the in-room coffee sub-standard.

The room was very dated and the carpet looked like it hasn't been cleaned in a decade. It was loud and noisy outside my room most of the night. The staff was the only nice part.

This place needs an update. The bathroom door was hard to close, the carpeting, flooring, and curtains are likely clean, but very worn. The breakfast options are kinda weird. The shower water ran rusty for a moment before clearing up. Cheap, but not much value.

The room we had was very noisy. Bathroom had mold in the tub tile. Just very shabby. But we got a new room that was quiet and clean. But still needs TLC. The breakfast was good! Grab and go but a good selection. Front desk staff very good and accommodating.

I love that they are dog friendly. I asked what areas are restricted for the dog to go. She said none. I specifically asked about restaurant. She said dog is ok but there is a sign on door that said no pets. Also the pool area has a sign as well.

The Lodge is a LG institution. I’ve stayed many times. The staff is wonderful, the grounds are beautiful. The rooms do need a little facelift.

Our host Eric canceled our reservation 3 weeks before our stay. I booked with him 4 months in advance of our stay. Within a week after my booking confirmation, he provided me with all the necessary details.
However, 3 weeks before our trip, he messaged me that the property had been overbooked on multiple platforms, and that he had to cancel my reservation because someone else had already booked it.
I do not believe this is the case since I had booked very far in advance and he provided me all the property details months ago.

We really did like the place. But those doors to the rooms really need to be checked. Our room was hard to get into, my husband had to hit it with shoulder to open it. We noticed that our neighbors were having the same problem with the main door.

We chose to stay here during our trip to Los Gatos since it was per friendly. The grounds were beautiful, however the rooms themselves needed an update or overhaul. Understood it won’t be 5-stars if we expect them to accommodate pets, however the rooms seemed neglected and in need of a good cleaning. The attention to detail was lacking a bit.
The staff was amazing and location was very convenient. We would hesitate to stay here again due to the hotel’s overall condition, however.

I was extremely disappointed with the Los Gatos Lodge. While the room is very old and outdated, it was dirty. The carpet was filthy. Upon arrival, the window unit air conditioning was on and the mold/mildew smell was very strong in the room. The unit was also too loud to run during sleep. I arrived late and after a long flight to a policeman in the office talking with an upset lady. When I was walking up to the room, the two of them and the attendant that checked me in were all sitting outside on a bench laughing and smoking. Had I been smart I would have left then, rather than wake up extremely tired from all the noise through the thin walls, and very congested from the air conditioning and dust in the room.

The stay was ok the pool wasn’t bad however at some point there was a cockroach crawling from the bathroom to our room and we had literally just walked in the door. The breakfast options are not great it was a do it yourself breakfast with a microwave and very lazily done without someone doing quality cooking such as scrambled eggs, waffles, fruit to put on plate etc. you pretty much get a burrito and warm it in the microwave with cereal and milk you do yourself. There was no ice machines on any floors and you had to go to the front desk to ask for ice as well as sign out on a list for getting towels for the pool. For the price of what I paid I wasn’t impressed at all and they need to put a liitle more work into making it a quality experience avg hotel.

Staff was nice but it could of been cleaner. We had ants in the room. Patio and pool was nice and it is a family friendly place.
