Wonderful stay! Friendly staff, lovely hotel, beautiful part of Fontainbleau, close access to both forest trails and the city center. Really great value for money. Bed was very comfortable, room was clean, the grounds are lovely and everyone who was staying there seemed to really just enjoy the atmosphere. Will definitely return!

I'm an Insead student, I've been to this hotel other times (this was definitely the last). Everything was going well until checkout. First the attendant wanted to charge me for breakfast which had already been paid for. But the worst part was the breakfast itself, or rather, the lack of it. I had a scheduled flight and all my time was timed. When breakfast was supposed to start (6:30AM), few things were ready, so I asked the attendant to reimburse me for one breakfast since I didn't eat it due to the hotel's delay, but he strongly refused.

This hotel was a great value. We were too tired to go into town for dinner; we ate well both nights and the total price was a pleasant surprise. Friendly music entertainment and buffet on Friday night. Free parking. We would love to return.

Hotel is very nice and in a good area of town. Upon arrival we were greeted and helped by a nice staff member who arranged a taxi for us. This was the only positive experience with the staff. Later, we inquired about dinner and the staff told us they were fully booked and suggested we try Uber eats instead of helping us to find a suitable option in town. We asked if we could sit at the bar for a drink, but were denied due to them being fully booked. Luckily, we found a dining option on our own. Later, the music continued shaking our room into the early hours of the morning. A terribly unpleasant experience at a hotel that otherwise seemed quite nice. A bit more customer service would have gone a long way. We will be writing to the management with a formal complaint.

The hotel is well situated, up to date and the staff are friendly and efficient. The breakfast area and service is very busy in the morning and more like a scramble. Towards the weekend it markedly improved. It is well located and about 10 walk to the town.

Very nice hotel, stayed there to celebrate 27th Wedding Anniversary. Didn’t use restaurant as very expensive as were drinks. Some very nice restaurants in nearby town. Good location for palace of Fontainebleau and shops etc Nearby to local Parkrun!

Perfect Tourist Hotel with all expected amenities. You won't be disappointed, especially if you've stayed a " typical " French Hotels. This Hotel is spacious, has Mini Bar, Restaurant, good breakfast and very important A/C. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. There are other hotels closer to shopping and the center of town...but this hotel offers free no hassle parking and the attractions and shopping are a short walk.

The hotel is not taken care of. Trashes on the parking ground, no trash can in the rooms, tv remote which needs to be put 5 cms away from the TV otherwise does not work, broken shower, lousy music (AC/DC) during breakfast time, etc.
The hotel manager clearly does not really pay attention to his guests and does not do what it takes to keep the hotel in good conditions.
Clearly not a 4-star hotel and definitively below Mercure hotels standards.

Modern hotel built for short stay business or tourism one km from Chateau and Town Centre but eminently walkable since only Breakfast and Bar Snacks served in the hotel itself. Good size and well appointed rooms with free Wifi which works! Functional and without frills or pretensions.

This is a good hotel; very nicely decorated and everything works well. However, we were led to believe that the hotel was closer into the centre of Fontainbleau than it actually is. The advert said that Rue Royale was just opposite the main gate of the Chateau. This is true. What we were not told is that Rue Royale is a very long road and the hotel is right up at the top of the road and the one-way system means that you have actually got to leave Fontainbleau and come back round the outer roads to get to the hotel. We would have been there a lot quicker if we had known this. As it was a lovely day we enjoyed our walk down into the town for our evening meal. If it had been raining I think we would have been very upset and very wet!

This was a nice stay. We came in by train and had to take a taxi to the hotel. The town is relatively small and quiet for an evening walk. This hotel had no air conditioning which would be my only complaint if the weather was warmer. I prefer a cold room. My wife said that the temperature in the room was fine. I found it bearable. So no real complaint there. The restaurant was friendly as well. The front desk staff was very attentive and warm. We enjoyed this stay. Unfortunately we may never have a chance to go back to Fontainbleau but will recommend the Mercure to anyone going.

Clean, efficient hotel very close to the centre of Fontainebleau. Ideal for couples and families. Friendly service from english speaking staff. Within easy walking distance of the town centre and a 5 minute drive from Bas Cuvier for climbing. Breakfast was excellent with wide range of cereal, bread, continental breakfast and hot food - eat as much as you can and make yourself a lunch at the same time! Only downside was the dinner menu which was a bit limited but the food quality was good, well presented and reasonably priced. Room service efficent and food hot! A pleasant stay and we will definitely be going back.

Nice hotel but it was August and everyone on holidays, no maintenance staff. No one could fix the TV?? Restaurant was closed except for a 12 euro breakfast of Croissants, baguette, juice and coffee. I am sure it is better during the rest of the year.
