on a 16 day trip w/ 8 hotels, this is my only bd review.
Avoid Klagenfurt on Sundays. Everything shut down. A few cafes open for lunch, nothing for dinner, not even any locals walking around.
We did our research and knew a lot was closed so we booked dinner at the hotel, they confirmed and even sent a reminder email the night before. We showed up for dinner and they told us the restaurant was closed. it clearly wasn't but when we asked they said they had a tour bus arrive and gave them the whole restaurant. We asked if they could fit a table for two and honor the reservation, they said no. The only other restaurant they said was serving dinner was a pizza place on the other side of town. We ended up walking in the rain to the gas station/store to get something to eat and it was filled with similar people looking for something to eat. the only sign of life we saw.
Hotel wasn't awful. Old and tired and kind of dark & depressing (especially empty until the bus) but it was clean. Staff was awful. Never had a hotel do something that rude, ignore our reservation and send us out into the rain.

Nicely located, clean and comfortable. Has a decent gym. The only downside is that breakfast buffet is not included. I understand that Klagenfurt is an expensive town, but breakfast should really be included with the high room rate they charge.

Hotels a good option as there aren’t many to chose from. The property is a little dated. Terrible pillows (sleeping).

Everything. Close to downtown, great amenities, and the most luxurious bedding and pillows.

Location is very central. A short bus ride to the Luke. A mix of friendly and very unfriendly staff at the front desk and restaurant.
Breakfast buffet was good. No coffee service at the table and it could take sometimes a long time for dirty dishes to be removed from the table.

I enjoyed staying in a historic building that has been thoroughly modernized. The staff was courteous and helpful. They found answers for all of my questions. Even though the buffet breakfast was not included. It was well worth the extra €21. The hotel was definitely conveniently situated.

Disappointing. Bathroom and shower was very small. Cleaning has to be improved (there was a long black hair on the bed). Mold in the shower. Uncomfortable parking.
Two good things: breakfast is varied and good and there is a coffee machine in the room.

Perfect location to visit the charming city of Klagenfurt. The hotel was clean, the room was adequate and very quiet. The sights are a few minutes walk away.

Front desk staff are friendly and helpful. Sad that there is no bedroom slippers. Overall, no complaint. Convenient location, easily accessible to market place, restaurants and places of interest by walk. About 40 mins walk to the lake/marina area.

The hotel is amazing! It is central and the personal are also great. The room is very quit and has a lot of space. My only problem was the silverfish in the bathroom at night! But I have to add, this is not the first hotel I stay in that has them and I guess in such a humid weather it is normal.

I was traveling with two small kids. Overall, our stay was very good. The room was clean and large, and they had a toddler bed and crib set up prior to our arrival. It is close to Worthersee, Europapark, and Minimundos, and the Hofbrau Zum Lindwurm was a great beer garden. The only thing keeping this from being an excellent review is the parking. The listing led us to believe there would be self-parking on-site, but upon arrival, we found out that the parking is at the main square which is a few blocks from the hotel and we were charged 17 euros per 24 hours of parking by the hotel. This was logistacally difficult given that we were trying to carry suitcases and wrangle children.

Very nice hotel in a good location close to the Square an City Center. We had unknowingly booked a small room but they upgraded us to a larger room with a king size bed for a small fee. My only small complaint would be not having coffee making facilities in the room. Very helpful and friendly staff, nice restaurant/bar, spotlessly clean, and overall an excellent stay.

Hotel is in the town, and not near the Woertersee at all, which is the main attraction in Klagenfurt. Close to the main bus transfer station Pretty standard hotel for Europe. Near the Goethepark, which is where the festival I attended was held, The rest of the town is in walking distance, but most of the old architecture has been overtaken by the new. If I return next year, Ill be glad to stay at the Sandwirth. There are less expensive breakfast options nearby.

We stayed 1 night with our 3 children. We loved the accommodation. Breakfast was quite busy however they were accommodating and found us a table. Breakfast was excellent. Room was fantastic. Gym was very basic but to use it once was fine. Loved our stay.

The room was spacious, even for 3 people, the facilities were clean, the bar was great, breakfast was fantastic but the greatest part about the hotel is the location. Youre one block from the Lindwurm / central square and its easy to walk everywhere. Its also very easy to reach from the highway if youre arriving by car.

Very helpful staff and good rooms. Ideal for transport links to many interesting places by bus or train. All transport very efficient. The lake is beautiful. We would definitely go back.
