The receptionist is friendly but spoke limited English. I guess it’s how it’s in this part of Spain. Overall we like the hotel as it has that kind of old fashioned quality.

Wonderful location in Gijón. Central to main shopping, dining, beaches, Old Town, & parks. Hotel was fabulous. Our room was actually a suite with an entire sitting room. For the price we paid it was unexpected. We work remotely so we greatly appreciated the extra space. Mini fridge also in room was handy to keep drinks cool. AC worked outstanding. Large marble bathroom. No complaints - would definitely stay again if back in Gijón.

Perfectly situated hotel with fantastic staff. Room was huge (if a little dated) and the only downside was that the wifi didn’t really work.

Wonderful hotel with exqisite decor and perfect location. Buffet breakfast wonderful and elegant!
Even better was the personnel at the desk, who went more than the extra mile to help. They even gave us a phone chatger European adaptor as a gift! Always with a smile!

I spent 4 nights at this hotel and was impressed with the facilities. This hotel is clean,and classy. The staff are friendly and courteous. I was pleasantly surprised and grateful to be upgraded to a double room when I arrived, which provided the walk-in shower I needed. I was too tempted by the delicious patries that were provided every morning for breakfast, but that was my problem not the hotel's ☺️
I would definitely consider staying here again.

This was my first time in Gijon and Hotel Hernan Cortes, I found the hotel to be very clean and peaceful, and the staff are very friendly and supportive. The rooms are comfortable and cleaned every day.
Hotel Hernan Cortes is situated in the Center of Gijon making it the best hotel to stay in to explore the Gijon.
I will definitely be staying here again when I next visit.

Perfect location , in the center of Gijón close to all amenities and the beach . Really clean and spacious , staff friendly and helpful , the only negative of the room it was really out of date!, old fashion style and decoration plus quite hard mattress
