Overall the lodge location was quiet, no interruptions. And very private. However the place needs some serious renovating. The stair case ceiling had water damage on the third floor. There was a pile of garbage and different items pushed to the side. My rooms fire alarm was hanging off the ceiling. You could not see the bottom of the pool, it was very cloudy. The “spa” was an out of order sauna. The bowling alley tables were not clean. It is a budget friendly place if you are looking to get away. But i would suggest staying at the town center.

You can tell they don’t up keep the property. Everything was out dated and dirty. Staff aren’t friendly. The front desk guy blatantly ignore me when I was trying to check in.

The place is dirty, roofs with mold and falling down in places, rooms wide open and unclean, no hot water, pool not filled, conference rooms that reeked of human pee, and groups of teenagers running unsupervised through the halls.

They should have more staff available, where we stayed there was no front desk, and the silverware in our room was dirty. The experience overall was good, the room layout was great for the price. Overall we had a good experience and would be opened to going back.

They need renovate the water park the arcade. Also need better food. It would be such a beautiful place the rooms are great just bad room service the security guards are also pretty good & the transportation they come so fast love that part.

It would have been nicer if we could’ve gotten towels our first night. We couldn’t get any until about 10 AM the next morning. The room could’ve definitely used some deep cleaning. Marks on the wall above where a headboard should be are pretty gross. The property itself is very nice, but the lagoon with the beach was posted as no swimming.

I like the trees, lake and mountains around. Anyone who loves nature will like it there.

Food options were limited and guests around us were upset that their rooms were not ready at check in time. We had no garbage cans in our room at all.

I did not like the fact i was told everyday "I'm sorry the water park will be opened tomorrow ". That never happened, the water park was closed the entire week! I was even told it was closed because it was too hot, but all the other places like kalahari was opened. My dance teammates planned to do a team get together at the park but couldn't. I did not have extra toliet paper, dish soap or a sponge. I called several times for these items plus extra towels and received the items after 3 calls and 1 front desk visit, which I had to drive to get there since it was 10 minues away. About 8 hours to get the items, which i usually bring myself but decided not too. The arcade was so much fun, won thousands of tickets to get prizes but then found out the prizes were empty except candy and basically parachute men/aliens and mini back scratchers. Was told everything was being restocked in the mornings but then told the truck delivery didn’t come yet. An employee even agreed they could do better with stocking. I'd definitely do it again because even though i was not happy with the week my daughter loved her time there. I just know I'll be going to the store for thing if i dont pack them!

Poor conditions

Overall, the stay was nice. I stayed at the Willowbrook building 3. I had a one bedroom suite with kitchenette. The room was nice and clean. The sofabed was massive it could fit multiple people. The bed was pretty comfortable. The kitchen works great. They provided many dinnerware, pans, utensils, etc. The check-in, however, was terrible. They said my room was ready and when I arrived, the room was far from so. The linens were disheveled, trash filled everywhere and was not clean from the previous guest. I called them multiple times and they kept trying to transferring me to a line that never picked up. After much frustration, I drove all the way back to the town center where check-in was to report my issue. The one front desk assistant said there were no other room but after talking to the manager, she managed to resolve my issue. However, there were many other guest experiencing check-in issues. I even saw a guest entered a room where someone was checked-in. Again, the stay was nice. I would maybe try again. However, I'm a little reluctant due to the experience with check-in.

After checking in it took an hour to get our room key.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS PROPERTY! The story of our 3 night stay is too long to type so I will just post bullet points: We rented 3 rooms total: We went to check in 3 hours after the check in time and our rooms were not ready None of them had towels, one of them had no pillows, it took 24 HOURS and numerous phone calls to get them. Thankfully our other travellers shared theirs Outside of our room for the whole time we stayed there was a pile of dust and debris - apparently the hotel is under renovation and shouldn’t have been rented out. Why advertise it if it’s not available? Numerous times our room keys failed and we had to go all the way to the main check in building to reset them. NO TOILET PAPER IN THE ROOMS One of our rooms had no hot water until our last morning but then it was so hot (with no way to turn down) we couldn’t shower. Our rooms were supposed to be equipped with cups, plates etc - everything needed to make use of the kitchen in the room (which I called about before we arrived) but there was absolutely nothing. Rooms were dusty - not sure why our check in was late as there wasn’t a whole lot of cleaning going on EVERYTIME we went down the main office for something, there was someone else there complaining about similar issues. The staff at the front desk were not adequately trained to assist with these problems. The managers seemed to be “hiding” in the back and not willing to come out to help. They didn’t appreciate the fact we booked through Expedia.

Customer service was horrible, tried to asked a question and the answer was “no” before I could finish asking, smelled musty, beds were terrible…check in time was 2.5 hours late. Had a full lobby with people having issues, not one working ice machine, my brothers room had no AC, they comped him $70 and he had breakfast with mold in the muffin wrapper. I can’t understand how this place is still open…stay away

There is absolutely no housekeeping. If you want towels, you need to call the front desk. If you want TP, call the front desk. If you want your garbage picked up, guess what? You need to call the front desk. I would not recommend this property to anyone and would highly suggest Expedia remove it from their choices for the Pocono area!!!

We stayed in the hotel, next to the indoor water park. It was the worst place I've ever stayed at in my life. Nothing worked. Service was terrible. Everything was bad. I will never go back, nor will i recommend that anyone go there

This is an old property hence the price. The small water park is nice and the indoor pool is big and the hot tub is also big. When I booked I booked two rooms that had big refrigerators in the pictures but both rooms had mini fridge and only one had a microwave. The outside of our building was pretty with a small pond with frogs. I wish the water park was included as it is in other hotels and not a separate pay which is a bit pricey for its size and two of the slides not working for a while.

I thought that checking in was a little tricky -- my room 4807 was difficult to locate and I had to write down directions to get there because I had to use two elevators and there was no map of the building. There were no instructions concerning Wifi or the telephone and I was uncomfortable with the fact that there was no password for using the Wifi. Although the room a very nice size, there was no ice bucket and we weren't sure how the electric 'blind' worked on the window though we figured it out. I would like to say that two young women, Hannah and Emily who were working at the bowling alley were just great! My nephews had a wonderful time bowling and the two young women made July 4th a fun day for my two young nephews by offering them face paint and/or patriotic necklaces (Sean accepted) but Kieran (he's shy -- refused but was happy to have it offered). My check-in was smooth, but there were at least 5-6 people waiting for a couple of hrs for there rooms to be ready. We were informed there was no soap in our room, but would be delivered later. Soap never came and I bought some from the Gift Shop. The internet connection in the rooms was PATHETIC especially in this day & age. Our room itself was lovely but the route to arrive to it was circuitous. There wer not enough plugpoints near the bed, luckily there were at least some USB ports. No where was it indicated that the "Tabachi food court" was the same as the "Coffee Shop", in fact signs indicated otherwise. Still on Sunday July 7th, the Dinner buffet was unexpectedly closed, switched to Tabachi Food Court, which then appeared to be located at the Coffee Shop. Food quality was Average to Poor. As we were checking out, a young family stated they"have never been so happy to leave a hotel". I will never recommend this place or come back to stay here.

The great thing about this resort is that you have so many amenities. We were over July 4th weekend and every day we were by the lake. They had cover band every day which we really enjoyed. Also, the fire works show on Friday night on Lake Harmony was amazing. What I would recommend is some maintenance improvement. The hairdryer did not work and the bathroom sink clotted. Also, we waited two hours at check-in. Overall the room was clean and stuff friendly.

The property needs more maintenance around the exterior pool. The guests were cleaning the pool with the leaves net. A little upgrade on the Willowbrook mattress and sofa-bed. The bed was not comfortable and the sofa-bed was extremely hard. The receptionist and coffee bar personal were attentive and courteous. Would go back again. With a few upgrades the property will be amazing.
