For the price the value was great! Personal were very professional and friendly. The room was updated, simple, attractive and clean. The food and buffet was plentiful and very good. We had a great time!

The toilet didn’t work and the room smelled awful. They could not give us another room, so we went home after just one night.

We had booked a double bed, and given notice that we had a dog as this was a dog friendly hotel. We chose the hotel due to the swimming, slides and wellness area, and wanted a romantic evening. We waited a long time to check in because the client in front of me had gotten a dirty room. Then when it was our turn we got SINGLE BEDS, and they said unfortunately they did not have any other rooms available for dogs with a double bed. We were not sure if we should drive home or find an other hotel. We had already been driving for 6 hours. So we were tired. We said it was ok if we got entrance to the slides & wellness area + a late checkout. That was not a problem. I did not sleep well at all due to the small bed. When we checked in I asked about the price several times and she confirmed it was including the dog. BUT the next day the slides were not open & the wellness area was not open. The only reason we chose to stay…. Then ON TOP OF IT ALL, she charged us more than she had said the day before, because the dog was added on the day after… Do not recommend

The service was excellent considering it is Covid times with a lot of families in the property. Masks are required throughout the whole property except for your own room and when sitting down to dine. The bed in our room however was very uncomfortable and has sunken in. Had to sleep sideways and at an angle because of the gradient. Breakfast was excellent, again considering there were many people, and they managed it very well with good safety measures like masks and rubber gloves required. Our little son enjoyed the stay very much.

Fin lobby. Hyggelige personale. Veldig barnevennlig hotell med badepark. Rommet vi fikk var noe slitt, men ellers ok.

Our stay at the Quality Hotel Skjaergarden was not in our original plans. We were in the area in order to take the ferry from Norway to Denmark. However, due to our GPS sending us around in a huge circle, we got there just in time to see our ferry depart. The ferry personnel recommended Quality. What made it stand out for us were the people who work there. They go out of their way to insure that everything is right. Also, there is an air of genuine friendliness. The next day, our ship was cancelled due to high winds. So, we spent another night at Quality. By this point, they all felt like close, dear friends. I should also mention that it was a weekend and there were lots of families with small children because attached to the hotel is a pool/water park and the kids were having a ball!

Located on a slope of a green hill with a beautiful view on the valley and fjord. Very friendly owners who tries to make your stay as nice as possible. Lots or reasons to come back.

A very Nice hotel. The outdoor floor was perfect for children and adolts. Perfect for the family. The only thing We missed was aircondotions in the room. It was very hot.

Spent the weekend there with kids to «Get away» a couple of days. We were welcomed to a pirate themed hotel and the kids were Loving it from the first minute till the end. Great food and great pools. We Are coming back!

The hotel is out of the way a little but because we had a car, we chose it. In saying that, we walked into the city centre which didn't take too long. The hotel is quite dated and dark. Needs to be updated and made brighter. The bed was comfy, the bathroom was clean and efficient with an extremely hot floor which was handy for drying our smalls. The service was good but not outstanding. The breakfast was ample with lots of choice. Car park is free and ample spaces. A bit too expensive for what you get. The dinner was tasty, if not a bit small. Menu lost in translation - sweet potato turned out to be pumpkin which I don't like. Fish was yummy - halibut.

We stayed at the hotel because it was a reasonable distance from the Oslo Airport and we were beginning a driving trip through Norway. It is in an attractive location on the south coast. It has ample free parking. The staff was helpful. The breakfast and dinner were very good. The building is a little run-down. It would be a good place for families with a pool and activities. It appears that Norwegian families may be the main clients. We also had difficulty finding the hotel

Rooms were nice, the biggest thing was being colocated with the water park. Our kids slept good every night.

Extremely friendly reception and a lovely place to stay even though it was just 1 night in my case. Beautiful location just metres back from a lovely beach and we were treated very well. No issues with any aspect - felt comfortable and welcome throughout.
