After a long and boring « paperless check in- we got finally our room. None of our requirements in terms of bed and vieuw were matched. Room was noisy, in front of hotel a railway track noisy people crying and made any kind of noise toll 2:00 am. No airco, room was hot as hell. old fashioned jnterior in poor condition, no cocfe machine, empty mini bar and awfull bedding. Scratched furniture,dirty carpets and ridiculius small bathroom. shouwer was not drainig off, with jus a CURTAIN….! No idea at all why this hotel has 4 stars! Totally overprized, on top, the charged us 18,-€ more than an anounced on the website. N EVER EVER AGAIN!!!

Breakfast will never satisfy everyone. I want crispy breakfast bread. it wasn't there. The coffee was super duper. No open restaurant for lunch. Dinner only. The staff is really top notch. Only 4 stars because the hotel charger for my Nissan Ariya didn't work. But all in all, definitely worthy of a recommendation. greetings, Kjeld Freundlich

The room wasn’t in a good condition and it didn’t live up to the expectations of a four star hotel. It really needs a renovation. But for one night in lovely Goslar it somehow worked. We could sleep and get rested for the next part of our trip.

The hotel was well situated with the centre and Train station a short walk away. The breakfast was good and the Room was very spacious even with 3 beds. A lovely hotel and would highly recommend if staying in goslar

All staff were very friendly! Perfect location as everything is close by at walking distance. Rooms are spacious and very clean.

The bathroom was uncomfortably small. There were no basic amenities in the bathroom, like a small bottle of shampoo or lotion or a bottle of water in room. The pillows were in name only and were so worn out that they served no purpose. The bed was uncomfortable. Most importantly they did not clean our room. The check out time is 10 am and the fee for being an hour late for check out is $100. I don't recommend staying here. The Romantic Hotel is a better option and very centrally located.

I was disappointed there was no parking for my motorcycle when I arrived, which was the reason I booked this hotel. It worked out but it was stressful at first. The single room was very hot because the window was small and didn’t offer much ventilation, and the bed was uncomfortable. I’ve stayed in the double room here before though and there the bed was comfortable and window much larger. The service at breakfast was super, and in general the staff is very very nice. The location is great, and so is the pool/sauna area.

Very good comfort and service. Excellent breakfast buffet. High cleaning standard. A minus was a very limited amount of free parking lots.

Friendly staff - also attentive. Beds extremely uncomfortable and the rooms and corridors are now showing their age. For the price paid, though, we couldn’t really complain.

The Achterman is located very close to the rail station, so you don’t have to worry about finding a taxi or hauling your luggage through the old town. Goslar is very walkable so it’s convenient also to the “Altstadt.” Amenities are great (indoor pool & spa). Oddly, my room lacked a chair when I checked in at night. In the morning, I notified staff, and one was promptly delivered, indicating attentive service. Part of the building consists of the old town gate, which makes the building interesting historically. The room was a tad small, but large enough. Overall, a great hotel.

We only stayed for one night. Room was clean and pretty spacy. We brought a dog and it was no problem. Location is close to Goslar center.

An absolute great hotel in the center of Goslar. Excellent service, clean and very pleasant. The pool area is great and the breakfast excellent.

Lovely hotel within a few minutes of the railway station. Perfect position for exploring the old town. We stayed both in older room and brand new room - both lovely but space better in old room. Only bad thing is shower over bath in old room and a bit of cracking in basin and around bath - however the space is good! Beds comfy, everything clean with plenty of power points. Newer room smaller and no door or curtain on walk in shower so water can go everywhere if not careful. Also only mirror is in bathroom. Good heating no cooling apart from windows open. Breakfast wonderful with hot and cold food. Breakfast setting elegant. Service excellent in breakfast area. There is a lift so you dont have to navigate stairs outside the building when you arrive with cases or are disabled. You have to press a button at the bottom of the stairs and reception will open restaurant door to the right of stairs. There are lifts to all floors. A hassle having to hand your key in when you leave the building so try to avoid check in and out times or you have to line up every time! Would highly recommend this hotel especially if you are travelling by train or bus. There are two near by supermarkets as well as lovely shops to browse if you can tear your eyes away from the beautiful buildings.

The swimming pool and Jacuzzi area were a nice additional amenity

the Spa is a bit dissapointing, also the whole hotel is nice but a bit out of shape at certain spots

A very nice hotel in great location. Has a fantastic pool and hot tub area - badly let down by the air, pool and hot tub temperatures being below comfortable. So disappointing I've only braved it twice in eight days of staying at the hotel. Improve this and i'd recommend it as a near perfect hotel.

Nice hotel in Goslar. Traditional, 90s style. Good breakfast. A little difficult to sleep due to hard pillows.

Very close to the old town with an array of shops and outdoor eating. Such a pretty place to visit.
