The stay was ok. Room was ok but we payed a lot for it the o ly thing great was how close it was to the boardwalk (like 5 min walk) area not so good window right on a street very noisey both nights. Pool extremely small and though the person that checked us in was night the next day when i went to the lobby some staright ass was asking me what i was doing as i was getting coffee in the lobby. No hi are you staying here?? Good morning? Nothing just "what are you doing" i said getting coffee its free right? Im staying here? (Mind you 300 dollars a night for a damn super 8) the he asked me rudley what room i was in i told him then he proceeds to tell me "no one is staying in that room do not come back here" then i had to very aggressively tell him over and over i was satying there my name amd what room (which was the room he pretending no one was staying in) and tell him to look up my damm name. Then when he finally did he said stupidly "oh i guess your right" no apology no nothing. POS. I have never been treated like that in my hundreds of hotel stays.

Walking distance from the boardwalk! Very clean. I have never stayed in a super 8, but the pictures didnt lie. I decided to give it a try and so glad I did! The only downside- their coffee is terrible and I didn’t see anywhere to get coffee in the morning that was walking distance. Great for families. When we arrived there were so many families getting back from the beach and in the pool. I didn’t hear anyone once inside.

Clean renovated room. Lots of space, parking is convenient. I would stay there again.

Other than location, this place is pretty runned down. Bed was horribly uncomfortable. Floors where glued together with mix matching colors. I only stayed a couple of hours for a run in the morning, but if you staying longer go else where. Check in was easy and friendly, just everything else is not great.

Everything was great except for parking and that’s kind to be expected around there. But yes, everything was wonderful.

The room is large and very clean. However, there was nowhere to hang clothes. There were other malfunction issues that we reported to the owner, and she is eager to fix them when we leave. She said the cleaners do not always report those little issues. Other than that, we had a great time.

It was one of the worst motels/hotels that I have ever stayed since 25 years in the USA. There was no place nor equipment for hanging your clothes in the room. No place to have a breakfast, and all you can have cereals and some cookies that you can eat standing or by taking into your room. Not a good example for Expedia.

From the time we checked in to when we left, the great hospitality to the cleanliness of the rooms. Made the trip, that much better. Definitely booking here again.

It is ok place on food location bur my backpack was stolen during checkout within 15 time window. Housekeeping was in a room when I tried to recover it. Properly manager did not offer any assistance, it was easy to check camera for 15 min time window. I reported theft to police

Terrible place. Dirty, run down, smelly... Dresser drawers were broken, patch but no paint in many areas of the room and bathroom. Their "free breakfast" was not even remotely edible. Coffee was gross, creamer was chunky, orange juice dispenser was disgusting to the point I would not even try to drink it. Nothing about this stay was good other than being in Santa Cruz with my kids.

Check in was efficient. Rooms were clean, an older place in need of paint, but really, everything was clean and comfortable.

The property was clean. Room was nice and spacious. The bathroom was nice, clean and neat. Big mirror. Easy walking distance to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk and Boardwalk Bowl.

The heater inn the wall sounded like a truck coming threw the room after a night we seen roaches in under the bath room sink and a few hours later that evening the had water issues and shut the water off with no warning or heads up lady had to take a shower to go to work no hot water or water not good, bed sheets had cigarette burns in them outside patio flooded when raining could have easily been taken care of won't be back at super 8 👎

The room was clean and staff was friendly and helpful. The room contained a refrigerator and microwave .There was no closet in the room and no place hang up cloths. It was a little bit away from the Boardwalk and Pier to be considered by some as walking distance.

This is a great property, well maintained and the manager is wonderful. My daughter stayed there two nights and the stay was great. Highly recommend this place

Don't stay here. The room had no closet and a paint stirrer with screws to hang your clothes. The drain was very slow and the lock didn't always work

Friendly front desk but no heat, 1 thin blanket, sink doesn't drain, some lights not working, noisy. Poor accomodations.

Location is great you are right by the boardwalk. However, cleanness needs major work. The room was extremely stinky and humid. The bathrooms did not feel clean at all maybe they cleaned with dirty rags? It’s as if the shower curtains aren’t changed.
Parking is terrible, first come first serve bases and it’s extremely cramped DO NOT PARK ON THE STREET, you will get towed. As we were leaving we seen 4 vehicles getting towed around 6:30a.m for parking on the street.
You are best booking directly to the hotel to avoid 3rd party fees.
Lastly if you are passing through and need a couple hours rest I guess maybe ask for another room if you check in earlier than we did.

Another Santa Cruz Band Review. The location is very convienient. Easy walk to the wharf for dinner. Close to where the bands form up, march, and perform. The room is roomy, comfortable,and clean.

Breakfast was a disappointment. One waffle maker, some cereal, and some packaged pastries on a short counter beside the check-in desk. Barely room for two people. Not worth the wait.
