Fantastic location.

We thought the standard of the lawn and pathway, and especially the patio around the hot tub was disappointing. I booked the accommodation fully knowing that the site was dog friendly. We have a pet dog at home in sweden also. So we are aware of their toilet habits and the work it takes. But the amount of dog poo was ridiculous. I don't think I have ever seen so much before. The responsibility falls mostly on the owners but we literally had to remove several pieces of poo that were directly next to the entrance of the accommodation ... a poor welcome needing to clean our shoes directly. The hot tub area and next to the bbq were several pieces... and it literally smelt really disgusting.

Hot tub heated within 2 hours, stayed in hot tub for over 2 hours after! Privacy, ideal location, accepted dogs

Not the cleanest, bit dated and some things for log fire broken.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like the photos advertised tbh, everything needs a good clean / refresh.. the hot tub was heating for hours and still didn't get warm after two lots of wood 🙃 paid extra for a veiw... the veiw was a graveyard!

Hot tube did not heat with all the wood we used. The pizza over was not clear on how to use a there was not the right equipment left for you to make the pizza. Even when we went to use the inside over there was no oven trays ect

Loved the hot tub. The manager was super helpful and friendly

Pros: Really nice, comfortable pods, Good shared kitchen area Nice patio area.

Cons: The email instructions on how to check in/get into our pod were sent a day late (after we'd already left! Thankfully, we got there just in time to find an actual person to help ((who was lovely)). We purchased the logs and kindling prior to arriving and started our hot tub when we got there as per the instructions. The amount of logs we got for £25 was a rip off but we tried and waited 3.5 hours. By that point, the water was only just luke warm (if that) so I called the number and the only option was to buy more even though the they had said that the original amount of logs was enough and should only take 2 hours. It was clear from that conversation that the owner only cares about money and not about making the stay enjoyable. The other 2 pods near us also had troubles and one if them had purchased numerous logs for their multi night stay and never got it hot enough to go in. I had booked using a lot of my wallet from booking.com genius, in my opinion, if we had paid full price, we would have been severely disappointed. At the price they charge, the correct amount of logs should be provided in the cost and they should start the fhot tub for if you are intending to use - they would already know they as they call in advance to sell the logs to you. Exteas also include pizza dough for a pizza oven that looks like it has just been left there and would also require you to purchase even more kindling to get it going. Customer service was shocking. The place has so much potential but once the owner has your money, they just don't care. There was no area for recycling.

Location was great

There was thick black mould throughout the pod. It was on the walls on the door in the bathroom/shower room. The step down to the hot tub was super dangerous it was so steep and the whole area was full of mud so there was added danger. The food prep area was dirty and full of greasy and rusted dishes. The pizza oven was dirty. with trays left next to it full of rain water and grease. The whole site was unloved and dirty. I would not recommend a stay in the pod if you are asthmatic as my sister became unwell due to the mould. The sofa bed was dirty with stains all over it and no bottom sheet provided to make this into a bed. The little dome in the middle was thick with green algae door and window completely broken. Furniture in there old and broken. Blankets wet and smelly. Hot tub was heated by log burner so was either freezing cold or scolding hot. After we paid an additional £25 for logs and got the hot tub hot we were unable to control the temperature and could not get in as it scolded our legs. The whole place seemed unloved and could do with some serous upgrading.

The hot tub once you work it out is pretty decent. They gave us the wrong logs to use so it didn't quite work as we would've hoped.

We have been before and would say the only issue is, provide better instructions for the log burner hottub and also make the patio larger. We had to negotiate a muddy walkway to get to the hot tub. It certainly took the shine off the experience.
