Great location. Has all the basics you would expect. Breakfast was pretty good. Room was clean. It was a little dated but its just a place to sleep and rest before heading out. Didnt bother us, so long it was clean. Parking was a little tight in the garage but if other people would park normal and not like they are the only ones staying there than its no to bad.

The hotel staff was wonderful. Rooms were very clean and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was hot with good selection. Location was amazing and on the creek. My only complaint is the elevators are very slow.

The location is great and the room was clean, but the hotel is very old and outdated. Breakfast was taken away at 9:45 when they say it’s open til 10. Yogurt was expired that was served for breakfast and sodas from the drink machine were also expired. Some expired as much as 11 months. tthey’re not very friendly at the front desk during check in. The lady at check in says the parking area is 6’4 inches tall, so if you’re a grown man you won’t be able to walk standing up, much less park your truck in there. They will provide parking up the street in a sketchy gravel parking lot with no security and you can walk half a mile in the cold, but if you go in after 9, it will cost you $20.00. Unless it’s really cheap, there is no reason to stay here.

It’s a nice hotel with a great view. The drunk couple fighting one night wasn’t great but other than that it was nice.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location of the Tacitus excellent. The room was clean and well maintained.

We were very comfortable and happy staying here. The property is very nice and very clean. Our room was very clean and our bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was nice with thoughtful options both cold and hot. The location is central to all the Gatlinburg action which made it very convenient since everything was walkable. I would suggest bringing earplugs. This is nothing against the hotel, the garbage trucks collecting in Gatlinburg were very loud and disrupted my sleep every night. We had a river view and were almost at top floor. Maybe choosing Mountain View would help. Not sure.

Hotel parking was confusing, and it was confusing trying to figure out where to go to check in. The rooms were small and hard to navigate with our luggage inside. Also, there was a haunted house attraction right next to it bar played loud music all night, which could be heard in the room while we tried to sleep. There was frequent marijuana smoking by other guest which stunk our room and we were told by staff there was nothing they could do about it. The hot water was inconsistent and swapped from hot to cold without warning. Our room keys quit working our 2nd, preventing us from going in our rooms and we had to take them back to the staff and have them reprogrammed. Worst vacation stay we have had, and we take at least two trips a year. If you value space, peace, and a family atmosphere, try somewhere else.

Parking was horrendous. We had to park 2 blocks away. I think there was a total of 8 handicapped parking spaces at the hotel, all taken because “there are 8 handicapped rooms” per the staff. The entire parking deck was full upon arrival. Hotel is outdated and has a musty smell in the room. Breakfast was average for a “hot breakfast”. Shower was hot and overall room was clean in view.

It was a a 3 day trip. Its right there where you can walk to just about anywhere. They were even improving the hotel without disturbing your time there. Pool and hot tubs are amazing.

The beds are hard and the elevators are very slow.

Easy check-in… Help us get the best room available… Pleasant and informative. Would definitely stay there again!

Excellent location, close enough to walk anywhere yet far enough away that you don’t hear any traffic on the main strip.

Edgewater is close to everything in Gatlinburg. Check in was easy and fast with pleasant staff. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Excellent view from balcony!

The hotel was nice however during the entire stay the cleaning service never refilled our toilet paper or tissues. We had to go to the front desk to get more every time we needed some. They just took the tips we left and made the beds.

The Hotel was fine and convenient to everything. It was a little noisy at times in our room from yelling kids and slamming doors so not the best noise reduction but overall it was a good place to stay.

The hotel was great but I had requested a room using Hotels.com and I asked for a creek view. Instead, the view was a dirt bank over looking parking for employees or maintenance. It made me wonder if I would have gotten a better room by booking thru them?

Was very pleased with this hotel in Gatlinburg. Location was great, 1 block to the main strip. Employees were very friendly. Breakfast was very satisfying. My only complaint was the slowness of the elevators. Always had to wait a little while for it to arrive. Will definitely choose to stay here again in the future.

Great location, parking and breakfast included were nice. The kids liked the pool, but the hot tubs had so much clothing in them it burned our eyes and bleached out our suits.

Was a great trip with friends. Close walk to town with being able to come and go at leisure

Family vacay for a couple of days. Room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good, lots of options. Staff was friendly.

The hotel was located in the heart of Gatlinburg, which made it easy to get around to the shops, activities and restaurant.

Great location.... Haunted Mansion is right next door ♥️♥️♥️ Walking distance to everything. The room was spacious and the hot tub can't be beat. Never got to go on the pool unfortunately but I will definitely come back to check it out. Everyonr of the staff was very friendly and the breakfast definitely surpassed my expectations. I will definitely come back next trip to Gatlinburg.

Very confusing to check in.

We really enjoyed this hotel. It wasn’t always quiet but generally doors quit slamming before 10:00 The reason for 4 stars was the breakfast provided. While I’m glad to get some juice and coffee it’s the same as most. This hotel is so nice I guess I expected a little more. The other reason may or may not bother you but it did my party a little bit. The hotel uses key cards which is fine but there’s no security to get to any of the hotel floors. It would be nice to have the doors and or elevator have more security to only let in patrons who have a key card. Pillows, linens and mattresses were good. A little general maintenance here and there (tile was cracked around the shower). But all in all this hotel was better than most.

I like the location! Everything is in walking distance!

I loved the pool and the room itself. It was so convenient being right next to parkway we literally walked everywhere we went unless we went to pigeon forge!
