Poor Check in Experience as we weren't allowed an early check in unless we paid £20. Numerous unfavorable characters in reception at times. Also no bar open despite flyers around suggesting coffee and cake available from 11am. Only positive was a pleasant afternoon tea that the restaurant offered.

Check-in staff and check-out staff were absolutely wonderful. Room was reasonable, carpet made it look slightly dated but still clean. The bed and covers were comfortable and clean. This is the second time I’ve stayed and will stay again.

I checked out as soon as I checked in and stayed elsewhere. The hotel was dirty and cold.

Very basic Hotel. No lock on bathroom door considering sold as a twin room. Shower on 7th floor cold and not much pressure. Breakfast not the best for the £ I paid

The property was in a great central location. The room was a good size, bed fairly comfortable (clean). The staff were very friendly but my only complaint was that the furniture was very worn and shabby, the carpets, curtains and walls had spots/stains on them. Too bad as the lobby and hotel surround looked fine.

Had a great room but the to didn’t work and remote needs new batteries but saying that the room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable

All fine except the single beds. They are so narrow.

We were not happy with the room we were allocated on the 6th floor… it was dated and shabby. I asked reception if we could have an alternative and they moved us to the 2nd floor to a much nicer room with a lovely bed, decent carpet and furniture

Hotel is very dated. Carpets are very very worn out. It’s like I walked back into the 1970’s . Bed was comfy, slept like a baby. Staff very nice and welcoming.

On a whole the hotel was good - breakfast especially. The room was spacious and clean but the bathroom could do with refurbishment, as could the bar, restaurant and lobby. And the lift is very small

Great hotel, lovely friendly staff, I had a comfy bed and a delicious breakfast to start the day with!

Staff were great and welcoming on the front desk. Stayed here due to working and all I can say is the place really does need an uplift. Ranging from elevators, lights, floor, bedroom, showers all outdated and needs new life.

Down town

Booked the Dragon Hotel as it was very close to my daughter’s university accommodation and we wanted to come up before she moves to Swansea next month to familiarise her with her surroundings. We stayed in a triple room, 3 single beds, large TV, bath and shower, toiletries and the fridge was a nice surprise :-) It’s not a 4 star hotel as advertised and yes it could do with some refurb/modernisation but it had everything you need for a comfortable stay. Excellent value for money. Excellent location, close to the train station, Marina, town centre and nightlife. Walking distance to the beach. We will be staying here every time we come to Swansea to visit our daughter over the next 3 years due to the closeness of everything and value for money.

The lobby and staff were great. There is only one working elevator/lift, and it’s tiny (only fits three people with no luggage. Rooms were dated, limited amenities and power jacks.

Staff were pleasant. Hotel was very tired and shabby.

Nice hotel in a great location in the city centre close to everything. Good room and bathroom plus friendly helpful staff. The breakfast is also very good.

A 1* hotel fallen far from it former glory but still marketed as 4* upscale. Awful.

close to town center. seel on bedroom window hone so noisy and drafty. Needs a good clean and a revamp... no coffee breakfast time dirty cups three toasters only one working. Only one lift working stayed on sixth floor

Looks like management needs to spend some money on upkeep. Thr staff was wonderful. The lift was antiquated and one wasn’t operating at all. And O fit the impression that it’s been out for a while.

The room was not clean and the safe weren’t helpful I’ve already asked for a refund but waiting for a final response

The room was overall clean, however the arm chair in the room had a big stain and i could not sit on it. The tiles around the bath tub were stained so i was out off from having a bath. The main point though is there was no warmth from stuff. All i got was are you checking in? and on my last day when i approached the reception desk to check out i said good morning and the answer was 'checking out'.

The staff was very helpful and kindly the problem is light of the room and there are only one Elevator( lift) and bur in overall best hotel in center of Swansea i think

we booked a triple room for a 1 night stay , really looking forward to the stay ,my wife and elderly aunty went to the room to check in and were shocked and flabbergasted with the state of the room . Its supposed to be a 4 star more like 2 , the carpets chips on the woodwork basically horrendous, they were then offered another triple , better than the first but also in a very poor state of repair ,so disoppointed the you tall young lady on reception was fantastic if the rooms were like her you would have an amazing place .
