The room, specially the bathroom smelled horrible. TV did not work. Bad pillows. Extra bed is tiny.

3 nights at Getafe Ibis Hotel. The room/s are cleaned on a daily basis, between 10:00 a.m-12/01 p.m in the afternoon. It is far from the Madrid centro, but you can take a bus/metro cercanias, as the cheapest way to get around. Ibis hotel offers food in the morning, as well as other dishes, however, bear in mind that food is available on the basis of what is requested. I had a great time and I hope to get back there again. Very basic, quiet and clean hotel. Only bath towels available - no hand or face towels. About 45 minutes commute to centre town/ old town. You need to walk about 10 minutes to train station for another 30/35 minutes ride to centre. There were no availability within our budget in centre town due to national holiday. Hotel was OK if not for the commuting distance.

Loved it

Stayed one night en route from Santander to Southern Spain. Rooms and ensuite are good size and very clean. Bed and pillows are very comfortable. And air con worjed well. Location of hotel is good and parking was easy. There's a restaurant with limited food choices. This is an area the hotel could improve upon in my opinion. Staff friendly and helpful. We stayed on our return back home and would stay here again.

Unfortunately, the trip was not great as I emailed when I booked the room for 3 nights ahead of my trip. Requesting a travel cot (as it says available on the website), only to arrive and the front desk said they would bring one to my room and we never received. When questioned the front desk staff said they had non available and woyld find something. We had to re ask to find they had nothing (this wouldnt had been a problem if they had emailed in advance as I would have bought my own). I booked for 3 nights and left after one night stay. Unfortunate as the bar/ restaurant look good but the hotel needs to work on communication and what they are able to offer (especially being a large chain you would expect better).

It was awful experience staying in this hotel. The AC was not working and the staff were rude and unfriendly. I will never stay again.

Great little hotel, within walking distance to train/metro station and town centre. Few shops, bars and restaurants next door too. Pleasant little bar area and staff very friendly. A few changes if travelling to Madrid on the metro but Getafe is a nice little place.

Great relation between quality and cost, the hotel is located near Madrid and it is super easy to go to Downtown Madrid. There is a supermarket close by, easy to park (super plus because Madrid area is chaotic). All the facilities of the hotel are super nice and they have a 24h bar/cafeteria. My only complain that I could give 5* was my room had some smoking smell and I booked non smoking room. Not a big deal since we only used the hotel to take a shower and sleep. Staff was supportive and friendly.

After being greeted by an extremely friendly and polite staff, we were pleasantly surprised by the attitude of the entire team at that hotel. It might not be a luxury hotel but you are treated as if it were. Great breakfast as well.

It is impossible to find the hotel from the train station as it is sandwiched between buildings.

Staff were polite and helpful. Food was much better than I expected, very good breakfast! Overall very good value.

Very good hotel for the price

The hotel was good. Rooms were clean. Issue with toilet was dealt with quickly and efficiently. Breakfast was extra but plenty of choice. Only issues were with check in. Ours took forever and seemed ridiculously confused. A friend checked in late and when attempting to check out and pay the hotel had already charged my card. This led to untold complications since he lives in a different country to me and neither of us understood what had happened.

The IBIS was a great basic hotel. The continental breakfast was good and the service at the hotel was excellent.

It's a very pleasant stay for me. This is the best Ibis Hotel, I have stayed so far. I got there by taxi from the airport, it cost €45, the return was €38. I chose this hotel as it's close to the Madrid Centro which can be reached by the C4 Renfe trains. Train station is just a 10min. walk. The room was large enough, very quiet and comfy despite the autoroute, there wasn't any noise from outside. The bathroom was also very clean and nice. It had a 42" LCD TV with international channels. They had a very kind and friendly housekeepers, the staff was also very helpful. I liked the breakfast a lot, variety of daily and fresh food. Everything was fine about this hotel.. I had no problems or negative issues. There was also a supermarket near it.

Overnight stay whilst travelling from Northern to Southern Spain. Good parking facilities at €5 per night

Good and worth for money.

Value of the price hotel. Just by the supermarkets. It would be more convenient if the rooms have kettle. Also outdated TV is useless in the rooms. Better you have a car to reach Madrid center.

We often stay here. It is a convenient stopping point when driving South from Santander and is dog friendly. The staff are pleasant and helpful and the beds are very comfortable. The only negative point is the standard of food for the evening meal which is reasonably tasty but is frozen and re- heated. Having stayed here several times, we have never found anywhere in the area that serves good food. The available food outlets only serve tapas and burger type meals.
