I thought it was good value considering how close it was to the centre of Oxford and such a lovely area. Breakfast was excellent

Beautiful old hotel with fabulous attentive staff and top quality food both at breakfast and evening meals. Not a cheap place to stay but value for money, which is what counts.

Great location very close to city centre and competitive price. Room small but well appointed. Clean bathroom, shower a bit weak. Door and walls of the room not very sound insulated! Good breakfast and comfy bar area with lots of seating / lounge. Very friendly, efficient and capable staff.

The Cotswold Lodge provided a nice experience, good service, good breakfast (with proper sausages, and bacon), an excellent dinner menu (excellent 6-oz fillet steak with trimmings). Overall, a great stay with nice staff and very close to Oxford colleges.

Absolutely beautiful, friendly and helpful staff very clean and tidy. Perfect place to stay for a visit to Oxford.

Love this hotel . Its walking distance from the city is fabulous, a reason we return. The staff are welcoming the rooms in the courtyard are just a little dated decor wise. All being said it would not stop us returning.

Good basic room and friendly staff. The guest house is only a few minutes walk to the John Radcliffe hospital.

Older hotel with small rooms. No AC but they did provide fans. Good location to walk to downtown and some restaurants near by

The location of the hotel was perfect for walking to the city center and exploring all of the wonderful architecture and eateries along the way. Our room was charming, quiet and huge. Really friendly and helpful staff.

Very nice stay. Parking is limited, so be prepared to park on the street (at a cost) and the rooms have no air conditioning, so they are hot and sticky in the summer. Friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast!

Lovely last minute trip

The hotel was in walking distance of Oxford town centre, Room facilities good, staff friendly, and a lovely English breakfast.

No air conditioner. VERY hot with only a tiny fan in the room. I asked why the bathroom floor was heated. Was told it was directly over the boiler room! They gave us a second fan. We walked from hotel to most beautiful Magdalen College. Good dinner at Quod. Breakfast at hotel was typical and good.

Our room was well prepared, clean and the look of the room was all that we expected and more. Thank you for your excellent service and preparation.

Liked all of the above, didn't like that the room was very warm with only a small window to open.

The building was lovely. The staff was very welcoming, they couldn't do enough for us. Lovely room, very clean and well presented.lovely breakfast and evening meal. Plenty of food served. Bus stop right outside, plus you could walk in to Oxford town in 15mins, some great bars on the way. 10 out of 10 for myself and hubby.We had a Great stay.

The hotel is a quaint, beautiful English inn. The room was impeccably clean and well appointed, including a spa-like bathroom, very comfortable bed and window into lavender filled courtyard. The staff were friendly, accommodating and helpful. The location just on the fringe of the city center was quiet yet very walkable.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff is wonderful. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. Unfortunately, it was uncharacteristically hot during our stay and the windows don't open and there is no air conditioning. Only a little crank window above the window opened, but not far enough to get much air. They provided us with a little fan, but it didn't do much. I might suggest either putting in windows that open or providing guests with a portable air conditioner. Other than that, it was fantastic!

Lovely place to stay. Clean and comfortable. The only negative being, breakfast was a bit disorganised.

It’s a very nice cozy place, but with an extremely bad WiFi and mobile coverage, and somewhat lousy isolation. Perhaps because of the nature of the building. Personnel are always nice to talk to.

Wonderful accommodation very clean in a lovely setting. We both had a very comfortable undisturbed nights sleep. Highly recommended. Lovely atmosphere and delicious breakfast with a wide selection from the continental and the breakfast menu all included in the breakfast price. Excellent professional service throughout.

Great location just outside of the city centre and near the park. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I was in a single room which was a good size, very clean and even had a small balcony which was a nice bonus. I would definitely stay again.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful, the facilities were decent and the breakfast was excellent! My only criticism was the bedroom was a little stuffy but it wouldn't stop me from staying here again, I would just take an upstairs room where I could lewge the window open!
