Very nice hotel

The dude at the front desk was extremely helpful

Pool was yellow, cockroaches in breakfast area and at checkin desk, empty soap dispenser which we requested to be refilled twice but it never was, beds were hard and uncomfortable. Staff was very nice however, and room was clean.

The hotel is in need of full renovations, its old and air conditioning is old. The rooms are damp and carpet feels wet.

Good value, easy checkin and checkout and clean and comfortable.

the first room had a completely nonfunctioning toilet. Moved us to the room across the hall. The door to that room would not close properly in order to lock the door. the smoke alarm was hanging from the ceiling. The bathroom light was weird. Breakfast was very marginal.

Stayed for one night before cruise, check-in and staff was pleasant. Then I entered my room, and the review went down from there. Hotel RUNS HOT, it was hot in the lobby but chopped it up it being Houston, but once in my room I could hardly get room to cool down. Felt like over 80 degrees all night even with ac under 65. Hotel needs to invest heavily into AC units. That’ll probably help with the smell coming from them too. Glad I travel with air fresher. Don’t plan on staying anytime soon, hope they invest into this hotel. I like the La Quinta brand and this was the first huge let down.

Absolutely wonderful staff. Everyone was overwhelming kind and helpful. This hotel is in need of upkeep and maintenance. Every surface was filthy. Bathroom grout was molded and peeling on tub. Coffee machine didn’t work but staff got one out of storage immediately. Tv didn’t work upon entering room but staff came in immediately to fix it. AC ran the entire night even after adjusting it. We travel often, I have 3 children from 12-6. I was concerned about their overall wellbeing due to the surfaces in that room. We almost went to another hotel but wanted something NASA/space themed. Every linen was stained, every fabric surface was ick. Again, staff made this trip wonderful but sad day about this La Quinta.

Great place - clean comfortable - pet friendly. To no fault of management - there were beer bottles and trash on the street side of property left by what I suspect passerbys that needed to be picked up. Otherwise the facilities were perfect.

Its ducked off in the back which is good.

We booked a pet room and the room smelled so bad like urine that it burned your nose. There was mold and mildew all over the bathroom walls in the shower. There were roaches under the sink. The toilet paper hadn’t been restocked. The towels seemed dirty. The blankets on the bed were dirty. When we took off the linens to change them, there was even blood on one of the sheets. There was dirt on the floors. The staff was rude. There was a miscommunication amongst staff members about time frames for pool hours, and breakfast hours. would not recommend this hotel at the price we had to pay.

Stayed the night for a cruise the next morning. Decent breakfast and a good night's sleep was all i needed and it's what I got. Would definitely stay again.

Check in was easy and quick. Friendly staff and nice clean comfortable rooms! Awesome place!

Family friendly for my two littles.

This is a decent hotel to stay at if you’re balling on a budget and/or don’t want to stay in Houston proper, but still want to be close enough to Houston. The area was a good split between Houston and Galveston and the cost for a 4 night stay was reasonable. The hotel itself is a bit rough. You can see where they’ve made “improvements”, but the halls smelled of mildew, paint was chipping off the walls, there were some sort of bugs plastered on our walls and a few live ones when we got to the room (didn’t see them again afterwards), the bathroom towel holder was very broken and visibly trying not to finish itself off. The pool water was…murky…but at least there was still a pool and hot tub. The beds themselves were not bad for a budget hotel and my kids and I slept comfortably enough. The breakfast was what you would expect for a continental breakfast and not awful. Staff was ok, though I didn’t really interact with them outside of check-in (dude was less than friendly) and check-out (she was great). Overall, I would stay here again if I was in the area.

I booked a room with two beds for two adults and two kids. We got to the room and it was one bed and one chaise pull out sofa. The front desk realized their error and called the room. The clerk asked us to come back down to the lobby and pick up new keys. Minor inconvenience. Stuff happens. However the AC in the new room was shoddy and loud keeping us awake all night. Not a great experience but not the worst place I’ve stayed.

Too much noise in hallways and guest on top floor. The morning person in charge of breakfast was very rude and breakfast was substandard

It had a stale smell and the hallway and elevator was hot. My room air-condition was on 75 when I got in there and it was muggy and gross feeling the whole time. The sheets felt wet. We stayed 2 nights and I wasn't happy with it so I will not be staying there again.

Property is in a nice location. The check-in was easy. Room was quiet and bed was comfortable. The only negative was that the bathroom didn't seem to be cleaned well. There were several strands of hair on floor and in tub. Perhaps from maid service, but it was gross.

The staff were very helpful in the process of checking in. The property was very clean and the room was large. The pool was indoor and quite small. Finding the hotel was easy.

The breakfast was very minimal. Also the air conditioning was not operating in the hallways or in the breakfast area and it was uncomfortably hot.

Checked in online, paid with Paypal to avoid giving my cc info, online check in made me give it Anyway, then front desk said “ oh, that’s not us, that’s a third- party company”, so I had to give it to her again - did not save any time and now three people hv my cc info- not happy about that at all! Room was 74 when we arrived! Beds were comfortable, remote did not work, but front desk gave me new batteries. A/ C had to be turned down to 66 to actually turn on and cool down. Shower was hot!
