Booked this hotel because it was pet friendly and also down the street from a favorite bar! It was a cute cozy small room with an entrance to the back garden which was beautiful! My dog loved playing fetch out there.

First time we stay @ this hotel. And what a surprise!!! Its just awesome!!! Super clean. Definitely we are coming back. Thanks.

Great little cottage inn. Parking is a bit tight, but lots of street parking in front so no problem. It’s an aged building with charm. All the amenities are great too. Pet friendly yes. I’d recommend this for those who enjoy classical charm of Solvang. A

It was a cosy place very close to the shops downtown.... great spot to be to see everything, it was clean.

Our stay at The M was good enough, especially for the price. The best part was the location, which was a couple of blocks from the center of town and an easy walk to any restaurants or shops. They also have a really nice filtered water dispenser available to all the guests. Made filling our water bottles really easy. Our first night we didn't have neighbors in the room next to us, so it was pretty quiet. However we got neighbors the 2nd night and they were loud. There was no buffering the sound of them clomping around the room and talking until almost 3 AM. There is no staff on the premises after 6:00 PM either. Additionally, the beds felt old and cheap, they squeaked when we turned over and if you leaned too hard on them, they shifted. There weren't any good options in our room to put our stuff. Lack of surfaces for things like toilettries and charging our devices. Definite lack of outlets for plugging things in. Would I stay at The M again? It wouldn't be my first choice. It's an affordable option, but definitely needs some upgrades to the rooms to make them more comfortable.

Beautiful gardens, clean room, and easy to get around

It was a nice little hotel but when we were getting ready for bed my wife noticed all kinds of hair. We removed the comforter and the bed was full of hair. I don’t know if it was dog hair or human or both but it was disgusting.

The air conditioning unit was very loud. The sink faucet was wobbly and the bath tub had no cover for the drain. On the whole, though, a wonderful experience!

Two beautiful patio areas. Rooms clean. Filtered water. Excellent value!

We really liked rear patio picnic area, very cozy. The only dislike was our TV was not a HD TV, kind of fuzzy.

Bedroom was ok, bathroom toilet had a note taped to the top that read "Please hold down the handle for a few seconds to flush." Wifi was good, but with no desk used the small table and ran my computer cord to a far wall outlet. Needless to say, I will not be back.

Quaint hotel in walkable distance to Downtown Solvang. Clean, friendly and comfy. I will stay here again.

Nice, peaceful, charming place to stay. Only negative was bathtub switch to plug tub didn't work. I bought some bathsalts at a quaint shop in Solvang and was disappointed I couldn't use them.

Picture of the property are inaccurate. Doesn't look like what's shown. Furniture was old, there were no place to put toiletries and no towel rack to place towel, there was only one basket in the room. Amenities of the property said there was a microwave in the room, there was none. The refrigerator was noisy. Also in the description there was NO mention of an additional fee for your pet to stay in the room. This needs to be addressed when reservation is made. The person that checked me in was very nice.
