The staff were super nice and friendly. The food is fresh. The rooms and areas are kept very clean. The pool is fantastic and inviting. We had a truly great time staying here.

We travel quite a bit and this is likely the best place we've stayed across 3 continents. We also have never written a review because we're lazy, but this place deserved the shout out. The natural setting is unmatched: rainforest, capuchins, howlers, agoutis, macaws, and so on. The multi-tier layout also offers privacy. The staff was top-notch from the front desk to the on-site bar (YOLO) to the maintenance people. It was also kept very clean and organized. Love this place.

Our stay was fabulous! The staff were very kind and helpful. Breakfast every day was prepared for us and it was delicious! We had the chance to see wild life - birds, monkeys, and even a sloth! We will absolutely come back!

Very attentive hotel crew with great communication skills ( I don't speak Spanish!) Example: After one of the dinners I left my credit card at the table after paying for it. Before I reached my room I had a message from front desk with instruction how to retrieve it

We loved our stay at Ecotica. The staff (especially Karolina and Rodolfo) were great. Everything was very clean and inviting. There were a lot of animals you could view from your room. Out of all the places we stayed on our trip this was a favorite. We would return in a minute.

Gorgeous pool and garden area! Great service. Yummy breakfast, but not buffet so plan a little extra time for made to order served breakfast. Room was comfortable pretty, and well air conditioned. Would recommend. We had regular hotel room style-2 queen beds.

The Crew working there are one of the friendliest people i’ve met .. Show me all the exclusive local spot .. all the beautiful beach .. even took me to a private hiking tour.. first time solo vacation made feel so comfortable.. thank you to all staff over there especially Shout out to PERDO ..

This was such a cool place to stay, all the staff was very nice and welcoming! They helped me with beaches, activities, assisted with the rental car company when I had a flat tire! The property is beautiful, I sat on my little porch and watched it rain one afternoon then watched the monkeys all come alive when it was done, so neat!

Beautiful setting, built right into the jungle, great pool, delicious breakfast options, friendly staff. We showed up and monkeys greeted us, just a great stay. There is a fair amount of stairs, but that’s everywhere in this area. We’d totally stay there again.

This place was amazing. Very clean and updated. Beds were very comfortable. AC and Hot water worked flawless. Very very personal. Staff was the best we ever experienced and we stayed at many 5 star resorts. Pedro was lake personal concierge and helped us with everything. Every morning we weny to the bar and pool area at 6am for coffee and breakfast and Everytime Carly was there witb bright eyes and smile greeting us. Felt like home. Bonus feature staying here was next to this hotel was a 22 acre private preserve with wildlife such as monkeys and sloths along with caged crocodiles and caymens. Also a butterfly garden. One of the coolest experiences is you will hear the howling monkeys early morning. Our last night they were in the trees above our bungalow. Loud for about an hour but one of the wildest experiences I ever had. The memories will.last forever.

The grounds are gorgeous. Clean and quiet. The staff are exceptional and very accommodating. Rooms are huge and clean. I would highly recommend this hotel

Loved my stay at the Ecotica Hotel, the room was large, very well decorated, numerous amenities with great pool outdoor area.

Outstanding experience at Ecotica! From checkin to checkout everything was positive, problem free, and practically perfect! Pedro at Reception was welcoming and accommodating. The Hotel uses Whatsapp so request are tracked and dealt with efficiently and effectively. The daily breakfast was always delicious and the oatmeal was my absolute favorite as it was served with fresh fruit, almonds, and brown sugar. The pool is stunningly beautiful and clean! The dark navy tile adds to a very lux feel as do the patio furnishings. Our bungalow (#4) was so incredibly comfortable and the housekeeping did an amazing job of servicing it daily. The large overhead shower was very large, the towels plush, and the water closet and sink areas were weel thought out. But my favorite were the monkeys, agoutis, toucans, and lizards that visited us several times a day. The Titi monkeys were cute and the Howler monkeys, although very loud, certainly created a presence to behold. The Ecotica is truly a special hotel and practically perfect in every way.

Beautiful property, great service, clean rooms. Great breakfast by the pool. 2 restaurants/bars on the property, easy walk to more restaurants and shopping. Lots of wildlife on the property! Monkeys, iguanas, macaws, agouti. Highly recommend. We would definitely stay here again

We would like to thank the owner for his hospitality and we enjoyed our conversations with him. And we certainly appreciated the upgrade to bungalows! He has an excellent crew working for him. We really enjoyed ourselves!

Beautiful location with an absolutely amazing staff. We watched monkeys and McCaws from the pool and it was a quick ride to the park. Easy walking to a wide variety of shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

I recommend getting a bungalow!!! You get an amazing animal show featuring monkeys, parrots, and toucans. Plus the bungalows seem new and are super cute. The pool is nice, don't worry that you only see a few lounge chairs. Somehow it works, I never had an issue getting a chair. The connected restaurant YOLO is a fun hangout with the tiniest casino you'll ever see with $1 blackjack. Would stay here again!

The resort is beautiful. The animals on property are amazing. We saw 3 types of monkeys, macaws, and toucans. The staff is super friendly and helpful. And the food was very good. I would definitely go back or recommend to a friend.

This was a perfect spot for our family of 4 on holiday. We had two rooms connected by the balcony. The monkeys were out a lot the first afternoon which was really fun to watch. It was nice to have the bar/restaurant right there to grab a drink and sit on our balcony after the kids went to sleep. We enjoyed breakfast and the pool as well. We’d highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again!

Well maintained property in a great location. Walkable to great restaurants within minutes bus or taxi drive from the beach and National Park. While the rooms are bit outdated, they are spotlessly clean. and comfortable.
