Really well located hotel with friendly staff. Loved the balcony!

It was very close to the shops and restaurants. There was a garden for a drink an aperitif. There was parking , if you booked in advance which was great.

Perfect pit stop on our way further south. Everything you need for a relaxing break ahead of the next leg. Ideally situated for old town exploring, cafes and restaurants.

Our room was small and very basic, though with a small balcony. The bathroom had a shower that relied on a water pump, which produced rhythmic surges in the pressure. The paper products were on the rough side.We stayed in a newer section, which has an elevator. The main building has a very elegant staircase, which fortunately we did not have climb, an agreeable old-fashioned parlor, and a serviceable breakfast room. Theoretically, there is a bar, but in practice there is no one to serve. There is good parking, which costs extra of course and must be reserved in advance. The staff is helpful and hospitable. The breakfast buffet featured a good selection of breads, pastries, cheeses, meats, yogurt, coffee, cocoa, juices, etc. The hotel is well located for restaurants and shopping, as well as sightseeing.

Hotel de Europe a small very comfortable hotel in this lovely historic city, good safe but limited parking. All very walkable, loved Poitiers.

Good location, friendly staff, clean rooms and above average breakfast. Poor Wifi was the only bummer.

This hotel is in a good location close to the Hotel de Ville and near plenty of restaurants. It was a basic room, but was a decent size, clean and comfortable enough. The shower was powerful and the temperature of the water was easily controlled, so bonus points for that! The reception staff were really friendly and very helpful, and made us feel welcome despite our limited French. We didn't try the breakfast so can't comment on this - there are plenty of cafes nearby as an alternative. We would certainly stay here again if we return to Poitiers.

Nice size room, quiet, large comfortable bed, very clean, central location, friendly polite and English speaking staff. Arrived before checking in time and a great bonus the room was available. Please note no air con in room just a fan. Will be staying again on our next visit

Friendly staff clean rooms

Being greeted by staff, while still in my car, and shown to an on-site parking spot, was very welcoming after a long drive. The staff generally were excellent. The location was excellent, and easy to drive to (not always the case in busy city centres). The hotel was nice. I thought the room was good, a little small perhaps, but my wife liked it it so...

This hotel is made up of a series of buildings filling a whole block just at the entrance of the pedestrian zone, near restaurants, roman ruins and more. Just a lovely welcome and rooms with great color schemes with fun sayings and instructions stenciled on walls, doors etc. The breakfast is a NOT-TO-MISS. Many locally or homemade products, and a great mix of sweet and salty: you can boil an egg, have homemade jellies, get a cappuccino and a fromage blanc. Setting and food are unbeatable and completely worth the price. When weather is good the garden is really nice too.

Well located clean and comfortable hotel with secure private parking.

Quick and welcoming checkin. And very friendly staff. The breakfast is amazing. I’m told this is a chain but I have a hard time remembering it because it’s so warm and friendly. The staff happily allowed me to try out my French on them. Our room had air conditioning and a deep tub and great shower. The room was otherwise simply furnished with a comfortable bed and room to sit and plan our visit. Also the courtyard off the breakfast room was beautiful with comfortable seating; perfect for that afternoon coffee or cup of wine.

We chose the hotel due to free parking and there wasn’t any. We had to book another hotel having already paid for this one. Free parking was the reason for booking as we had a car full to travel Europe, and the only alternative was to park a mile away in a public car park

Wonderful hotel! The garden in the back was lovely and breakfast was fantastic. The shower head in my bathroom was a little difficult to keep in place and was fixed to the wall in an oddly low position but still worked fine.

The hotel is perfectly situated very close to the city centre. There is parking at the hotel for a relatively modest charge. Some previous reviews were critical of the quality of the rooms but ours was really nice. We would stay there again.

After a long drive we arrived in Poitiers,following the Hotel`s directions....good advice..were met by Fannie,who was working as car park guide,receptionist....and bar waitress!!Great place,room was good and was central to all places of interest in the old City.Fannie does a great job....would highly recommend this hotel,but reserve car parking in advance...

The reception areas of the hotel are delightful. The rooms ghastly , bathroom dirty thankfully it was just 1 night

Convenient hotel with parking for the centre of Poitiers. Easy walking distance to major sites and huge selection of restaurants nearby. Friendly and helpful staff on reception with very adequate English, if required. Rooms tidy and clean. Small garden at the rear for relaxation.

Avoid rooms on the street side. Very loud, and if it’s warm, the un-air conditioned rooms make it hard to keep the window closed. Suggest a courtyard room. Wi-fi was weak, slow and not secure. Staff was pleasant.

Have stayed for overnight stops before, good location and always friendly staff.

Lovely hotel - very well situated easy shot walk into city square and plenty of places to eat and drink. Town was buzzing and friendly - nice vibe.

From the friendly greeting on arrival to an afternoon enjoying the lovely garden, this hotel offers a warm and comfortable experience unlike any other. There's a library, lounge with games, bar and delicious breakfast all in the middle of beautiful Poitiers.I was a home away from home

We required an hotel that was close to the centre of Poitiers and reasonably priced. Hotel de l'Europe fit the bill perfectly and exceeded our expectations

Excellent hotel, central location, lovely staff, quiet rooms grouped around a central courtyard. Rooms are small as is usual in Europe but well appointed. The common areas for lounging are extensive and very handsome. My friends in the city recommend the hotel to their own guests who come for professional reasons.
