Showers need updating. I turned the tap on when I arrived late at night and got soaked. The pillows are old & need replacing

Good hotel, upmarket travel lodge type hotel but bigger rooms. Decent price too.

Room good size bed bit soft. Light position all wrong bed side light directly above your head frlt like being interrogated.

Lovely rooms in excellent decorative condition and friendly front desk staff. Quiet location but close to city. Downside is the dining option. The only walking distance option is the restaurant in the adjoining leisure centre. More cafe than restaurant and everything from the microwave. It was ok but no more than that. We would stay again but as the room was so lovely but eat elsewhere

The booking had been cancelled due to an error, but they were able to find a room. The hotel was fully booked, really noisy and insulation was poor. I was blocked in the car park by another resident and the staff were reluctant to help saying it may not be a resident. When i threatened to call the police, they checked and asked the resident to move the car. Given the parking was visible from the desk, i am surprised it was allowed.

Functional. Property atmosphere was flat . Staff were friendly. Couldn’t get my devices to connect to the TV even with leads. As a travelling businessman little bits at the end of a long day count. Was told there were only bar snacks in the gym. Went out in to Durham. Didn’t need to. Found out they had basic food just wrong info given. Didn’t want the 90 mins messing around finding somewhere.

rooms were nie and clean though there was a laek in the bathroom. staff couldnt have been more welcoming great for a night out in Durham

Lovely welcome. Comfy bed. Noisy bunch somewhere nearby but not sure what it was middle of night. Food in cafe great value and quality.

Very tired room in need or refurbishment. No services to speak of in hotel, you have to go to the spa for food and drink which we weren't informed of and if yhave an earstarton a weekend the spa isnopen so you can't get anything. We also weren't informed that we had to put a sign on the door for the room to be serviced. Rooms are exceptionally warm and there is no air-conditioning.

Looking at the property it looks great but it's not !. If they put you in a back room you won't sleep simply because it backs onto the A1 M. If your not on the top floor and facing the car park then good luck with sleeping . If your on the two lower floors people are walking about all the time the walls are thin and I was told by a local the hotel is used as a knocking shop for men seeking extras. Be careful. I went to have something to eat at the spar and I was creating by a very ignorant woman with a real attitude problem it was like she really didn't want to be there . To be honest I was glad I was setting off early the next morning with the noise of the A1M keeping me awake. Good luck with this hotel. And with this one it's a wolf in sheep's clothing .

Tired no atmosphere felt more like an Accor chain and European feel

Comfortable, clean, all in good repair. A no frills sort of hotel with more facilities in the spa opposite the hotel. Didn't use the spa facilities so can't comment on those, but did get food there. All I'm going to say on the food is that it was cheap and the quality reflected the price. The staff were uniformly polite, helpful and friendly, definitely the high point of experience. Overall it was pretty good.

Nice room clean,comfy bed

Friendly and helpful at check in and throughout stay. Easy parking. Handy to have on-site gym & spa short walk from the hotel. Clean rooms with comfortable beds. Shower room recently renovated to high standard.

Stayed here for 1 night. ROOM 20 Shower room door didn't open so you just mannaged to get through. Extractor fan in the shower room made a loud buzzing noise when automatically activated, which disrupted our sleep. Reported these faults to reception desk. Room was very tired, carpets very flat and stained. For the price we paid i expected alot better.

Convenient and 24 hour check in which was great for my late arrival. Rooms are basic but clean however it was cold with no obvious temperature control. Elemis toiletries in the room which is also a bonus.

Clean hotel, food is off site next door in health club limited choice but ok

When we walked into the room we were greeted by this overwhelming moldy smell. We opened the windows and turned on the heat and tried to air out the room. There was hair in the shower and the flat surfaces were dirty. The bed was comfortable. There was not a microwave or fridge but they had conditioner for my hair :). The "restaurant" is just a place they heat up frozen food. We did not enjoy our meal. The staff was very nice.

Very basic room, no fridge, smart tv which was old and didn’t actually do anything smart, freeview only, cheap toilet roll, no breakfast facilities in the hotel, you have to go to the spa and food wasn’t great. Buses never arrive when you expect them though I appreciate this is not the hotels issue. The hotel said there was a welcome pack, there wasn’t.

Lovely hotel in excellent setting. Meals were very good especially breakfast whic wad outstanding. We used the swimming pool which was very good. We would thoroughly recommend the hotel and wiil certainly go again.

Warm welcome, we had a ground floor room so the view from the window was just trees however not offensive. The room was spotless, and had the usual tea/coffee supply, an iron and ironing board,tv and hairdryer Very comfy bed and an overall great experience Thank you !
