Very beautyfull hotel and surroundings We had problems with aircondition, they truede to fix it, but it still didnt Work - er had a noisy fan so .,…, Thought that charging our Electric car was free - but 36euro for 4 hours

This property is an excellent three-star one as in some aspects it is better than three-star. Firstly, the staff are lovely. They are very welcoming and helpful. They really make the place. Secondly, the hotel is well-maintained and has amenities and services that you usually don’t get with three-star hotels such as the pool and the option of dining there (we had one dinner and it was very good and reasonably priced). The hotel is family-run and I feel this shows in the overall ambience and slightly olde worlde feel (nice paintings and furniture; more interesting than a chain hotel). It’s only a 5- minute walk from the boats to the islands and 15 into the centre. Would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Stresa. It was fantastic and we got it for a very reasonable price on Expedia.

We stayed two nights at the hotel and totally recommend the stay. Only thing missing was having an iron for clothing

Very comfortable room, too hot to use the balcony but that didn’t matter. Lovely bathroom, clean towels and nice big bath towel. Shower was good. Tv worked well with British channels. Swimming pool clean and pleasant early evening. Restaurant service excellent but some choices of main course not enticing. Very quiet and easy access to lake side and ferries.

We loved our stay at the Royal Hotel. Our room was spacious, comfortable, clean & had a large balcony with wonderful views over Lago Maggiore! The walk into town takes about 15 minutes, which we were happy with. Great exercise! The staff are what makes the hotel special. Always smiling, always cheerful & happy to help. Wonderful buffet breakfast, too! One small improvement would be tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Otherwise can't fault it & would definitely stay there again.

This hotel is very convenient for visiting the islands. It has a lovely pool and gardens. There is a beautiful lakeside walk into the centre. Most rooms overlook the lake.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel royal but it was a little further out than I thought when I booked .Weather wasn’t so go 3 days of rain so limited restaurants in the area as was wet to walk into centre.

We loved the location of the Hotel. It was slightly out of the main area, but a lovely walk by the water took us there in a very short time. The staff was extremely helpful and welcoming. It is always nice to have parking available. We also appreciated how they set up their TV stations, with the English channels grouped together. The Head waiter in the restaurant was amazing. We would certainly recommend it and stay there again.

Loved the property and the friendly staff. Our room looked like it was just redone. It was a very simple room with no art on the walls so it seemed pretty stark. Enjoyed the 5th story rooftop patio. Breakfast was good with lots of options to please everyone.

About 25 minute walk from Stresa. No grocery nearby. Boat to the islands was nearby. Nice bar. Rooms with balcony.

What a lovely hotel, very close to the embarkation point for the Lake Maggiore islands and a 20 minute stroll along the shore into the heart of Stresa. Car parking available on site which was a must for us. Room was clean and bright with a balcony. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were very good although the barman struggled with only a few customers and was quite curt.

We stayed for 3 nights and were very happy. We booked a double room, but were upgraded to a triple. Staff was very helpful with any questions we had. Buffet breakfast every day had a choice for every taste with homemade delicious cakes to finish. The hotel is located only 5 min walk to the lake and ferry terminal and a beautiful 20 min coastal walk to the down town Stresa which was very convenient.

Pool and hot tub were freezing. Other than that, property, staff and dining were excellent. This hotel should have at least four stars.

Location is great. The terrace with a beautiful panoramic view of the lake and mountains is breathtaking. Buffet breakfast was great as well as 4 course dinner in the hotel restaurant. Stuff was very friendly. Convenient parking at the property. A beautiful scenic 15 min walk to downtown Stresa

Excellent, quiet location 250 ft from the lake and waterfront walkway promenade; away from the throngs of tourists and very walkable to train or “downtown”; convenient to Alybus to MXP. Amazing rooftop terrace views; nice pool on warm days; great breakfast with ample, large selection; friendly, professional hotel and dining staff. Spotless room and big bathroom. Only con was the “sit down” shower took getting used to. A small price to pay. Definitely would stay here again if in Stresa.

Had a couple if minor issues which wrre resolved promptly. I.e. our plug adapters did not work in our room so they quickly supplied us with various to try for the duration of our stay. Transport to and from airport arranged without a hitch ny the hotel. Emails answered quickly ..

perfect place to stop off on our road trip around Europe. Comfortable, clean room, good restaurant, and easy parking.

Hotel is very good all round. The only problem is breakfast service especially the serving of tea and coffee. Some of the young staff couldn't cope with the amount of people and one seemed rude although i put that down to language barriers and inexperience. We complained to reception and management seemed to take note as there more senior people serving after that.

Absolutely wonderful stay at this immaculate and welcoming hotel in an idyllic and convenient location. Clean and comfortable rooms, very helpful reception staff, excellent aperitivo with the generous bartenders, and a terrace up top with an unbeatable view. Convenient walk (~15 min) to the center of Stresa along the picturesque lungolago and easy access to the docks to visit the nearby islands. A lovely stay.
