The television did not work and could not get a extra blanket

We had a VERY last minute trip and Hotels.com came through finding us not just an hotel room, but a condo. AMAZING!!

it was a great stay. would have liked water a bit hotter in bathroom and maybe a little cleaner but i did not ask the staff, i just wanted to be alone for a while. overall the place is a good place with excellent staff. i would stay again

I expected the suite to be a little newer than it was. Other than that it was ok. The clerk Joanne was awesome!! Very helpful and friendly

This room was perfect for what we needed it for. Our quick trip to Havasu, means not a lot of time in the room. We usually have a house to stay at, BUT! If I ever need a place again, I will definitely look here! I do like that there is a kitchen. Basically a 1 bedroom apartment in a motel.

This by far is the worst property ever! Dirty rooms! Broken blinds covered with partial paper from a frying pan! Stained couch, stained sheets and loud AC! We did not stay there and couldn’t get our money back! Worst experience ever!

Sketchiest establishment i have ever encountered. Maria, the woman running the front office took about 20 min to awkwardly check us in, and finally "called" her cleaning service lady to make sure the room was "clean" to let us in and gave us the key. Upon entry we noticed multiple suspicious factors.... dirty sock under the microwave, old leftover food in the fridge and cubbies, dirty pillows with hair, and when we went to maria to explain that we no longer felt comfortable with our stay, we asked for a refund. We were told by her that she could not help; because we booked through expedia. We called expedia and the representative said she would have to call the resort to get their side of the situation in order to recieve a refund(not what maria said). After speaking with her, they informed me that maria denies any wrongdoing and we could not get a refund because we used a bar of soap to wash our hands and towel to dry. (And with the whole covid going on, we felt the need to disinfect our hands after touching everything) Maria still denied everything. Thankfully, expedia gave us an immediate credit so we were able to stay somewhere else,it was already late. The fact that she lied straight to our faces disappointed me. I understand mistakes happen, but own up to it and be honest. Would NOT recommend this place. Dishonest and filthy.

Rental property serviced it’s purpose for a one night stay. The condo is dated but it was clean.

The condo was apparently leaking so we were moved by the sands hotel to the super 8 motel which was horrible. While online it showed other condos available. Why didnt they just move us?

We were visiting Lake Havasu from California. When we got to the hotel the outside wasn't really anything exciting. The pool was also very foggy . We are greeted by a very friendly lady though. She quickly got us our room keys and we headed to our room where we were really disappointed in the condition it was in. It was really dark really stuffy and nothing really felt clean in there. Bedspread is an old-time like Motel bedspread and we were not about to sleep on that bed. Using my phone flashlight I was able to see that even the kitchen was very dirty, the stove top knobs were yellow and dirty oh, the couch had stains on it, my friend also said she saw footprints on the wall. We were just two girls so if you are traveling as women I wouldn't recommend staying here I would tell you to go to a nicer place and just spend the money but I can see guys not minding this. Luckily, we went to the front desk and told her we need to check out we can't stay here and she refunded our money really quickly and was very kind about it. Customer service 5 stars,, room 1 star

Dirty rooms bugs in my beds and never got my refund

They out us up in a room... Wife a I were ready to go to bed... wife pulled down the covers and there were bed bugs. Told the front desk moved us to the room next door and we checked the bed and sure enough bed bugs in that one as well. Manager was cooperative in refunding us but kept 1 nights with of monies. We left right away and did not stay. I feel the should had refunded all nights. I ended up having to pay triple for a room at another hotel due to holiday weekend. SUPER DISAPPOINTED and almost ruined our trip

The place needs to have a little money invested into it to clean it up. The walls in the room where dirty, the couch had spill spots and just looked dirty. The ceiling fan in the bed room was missing 2 fan blades and shook a lot if you tried to use it. The place also double charged me the room.

My friends were asked if they wanted drugs. People above us had ongoing party until 1am, extremely loud banging. I did not realize you can get a room there daily, weekly or monthly, so you have actually residents living there . Not sure what kind of bug was in the bed, but I slept on couch. It was so bad I checked out a day early. Staff was nice and responsive but I would never stay there again.

Staff was nice and location was convenient. The place is super dated though, and in need of some major renovations. I didn’t see any bugs so that’s was good.

Some of the outlets did not work at all. There were three dead baby tiny roaches in the bathroom and hallway. It was not cleaned properly around the furniture. Dust everywhere.

The amenities such as TV are outdated. I was told all TVs are smart but none of them are smart TVs. In fact the TVs in the bed room are boxed TV, not even flat. We also see some bugs in the bedrooms.

The property was clean and quiet. The room was clean except the dishes. The staff was supper friendly.

Good location little old, but clean and good if your not going to spend a lot of time in room.

Hotel Staff was very accommodating allowing us to have a late check out was a huge help. The rooms were nice and clean and it is located walking distance to many restaurants and stores. We will defiantly stay there again.

Cheap! This hotel was cheap, so with that said you get exactly what you pay for. I wasn't looking for a 5 star resort and I wasn't looking to pay very much for a room so this place was perfectly fine.

I booked this room last minute, and got exactly what I paid for. The rooms looked like old apartments that were turned into hotel rooms hence the word "suite" in their description. The furniture looked like it was bought at a garage sale and in the kitchen, none of the dinnerware or silverware matched. Since this was last minute, I showed up at 9:30 pm only to be told I was lucky I showed up because the front desk was on their way out, otherwise my keys would have been left in an envelope stuck with tape on the front door. I was given keys to "my room", only to my surprise "my room" was already occupied. I felt bad for the people who were already in there. I proceeded back to the front office in a hurry and was told that their system did not show it as occupied and that who ever was occupying the room would no longer have valid keys since they had re-made keys to me. He didn't seem to concerned about that and gave me room keys to another room. All night I kept wondering if someone was going to walk into my room as well.

We stayed at the Havasu Sands Resort this past week, and I must say that I was very impressed with the size and cleanliness of the rooms. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked and the breakfast was delicious- especially the french toast. What really sold me on the resort was the staff. They were friendly and very accomading during our stay. They bent over backwards to make the trip comfortable. I will be back in the future.

The Sands Resort is a converted small apartment complex from the 70's. We reserved a room with a king bed and pull out couch and got two double beds. The bedroom faced the main road and had to deal with headlights shining in the room and the noise from the street. Next morning no one available at 6:30 to check out and had to leave the key cards on the ground outside the door. The place was okay for the one night we stayed but will not stay again.

We tried to book our timeshare at the London Bridge Resort and they were full. I didnt want to spend alot of money so I found The Sands, which was VERY affordable. I didnt expect alot because I saw a negative review. The new owner and management must have changed things alot since then because WOW were we pleased to find it was like our timeshare. There was a slight mix up on the room when we got there but the Manager,Heather, was amazing...she more than made it right immediately. We stayed in the two bedroom suite which was great. My husband is very picky and he liked it very much as well. It was close to everything! Our friends payed three times as much somewhere else and had a small room they were not happy with. We cant wait to go back (if our timeshare is booked)and will recommend it to our family.
