Located in the immaculately maintained historic center. We had our best nights sleep there, very comfortable. Perfect location to explore the old town.

Amazing property with views of the main square in town. Probably one of the best beds i have ever slept on and I am a light sleeper. You can hear noise from the square late at night but it didn't both us.

The only reason I gave a 4 out 5 because the AC was not running properly. Could not bring down the temperature that is comfortable. Otherwise excellent property to stay.

A fabulous boutique hotel in the historic centre of an historic town. Friendly, helpful staff, comfortable rooms and a good breakfast made for a memorable stay. Parking is secure either underground or on the street, albeit about 100m from the hotel. There are many restaurants, bars etc. very close-by.

This hotel, situated in the old town, was superb. We were greeted on arrival with a cup of coffee, and seated in this elegant, book lined foyer on very comfortable chairs. The bed room was spacious, elegant and offered all the toiletries. The sheets were super soft as was the bed. The one negative was the air conditioning did not seem to function and the lift at times malfunctioned. The staff were extremely warm and generous of their time. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Words can’t describe the feeling. We were there for one night and did regret not having planned for a longer stay. We will surely come back. All staff were professional and beyond courteous.

It is a small, cozy, charmy hotel with a Michelin's list resturant. Guimaraes is a pretty town near Douro River.

We happened to stumble upon this gem while traveling from Porto to Galicia Spain and enjoyed our stay very much. The staff was helpful and friendly. Perfect area for walking around and parking close by, maybe a couple of blocks away. Don’t leave without having a wonderful meal at the hotel restaurant and sit outside if possible. We are excited to come back! Thank you for your hospitality!

The hotel is right in the middle of the historic district, easy to move around on foot. Big problem is getting to the hotel with your luggage. Don't take too many bags

Wonderful hotel and town. We had the best meal we’ve eaten in 2 weeks at one of the cafes in the court yard. Black pasta with huge shrimp. The hotel is a gem. We had a lovely one night stay which was perfect for this wonderful town. Our room was amazing.

Our stay at Hotel Oliveira was so wonderful, I didn't want to leave. The staff was so accommodating, assisting us with all our questions and needs. The reading room was my favorite place after a long day of touring. We loved being able to help ourselves to tea or espresso in that special place. The breakfast was absolutely perfect and the room was very comfortable. I was concerned about not having a room overlooking the square, but in the end I was happier since the square fills with people late into the night and we didn't hear any of it!

An excellent choice when staying in Guimaraes, Portugal. Located right in the heart of the historic city center, easy walking distances to essentially all historic sites in the city, as well as to many restaurants and small shops in the city center. Michelin star HOOL restraint on site. Two potential drawbacks: (1) hotel is not accessible by car. You must park about 300-500 ft away and drag your luggage to the hotel; and (2) there is no swimming pool. Otherwise, an excellent 4-star hotel right in the centre of Guimaraes. Will stay here again should my travels bring me back to Guimaraes sometime in the future.

Staff weee exceptional, particularly Carlotta & another young woman on reception who arranged express laundry for us. Their whole approach & attitude was highly commendable. Thank you both for making our stay so pleasant & well-informed. X

We loved to stay in this hotel, just in the middle of Old Town, close to everything. When we found the parking lot it was very convenient, close to the hotel and inexpensive.
The hotel was in a historic building, very sophisticated, filled with books everywhere.
Nice breakfast in a nice dining room. We will certainly recommend this hotel.

Dust in the room. We heard the bells just in front of the room so difficult to sleep. The positive point is that the hotel is well located in the city.

Greate and cozy hotel with nice and helpful staff. The hotel.is in the middle of the old town square so you can’t drive all the way, so you need to walk the last meters. Highly recommend it.

Hotel location was at center of historic district, room was a junior suite even that was amazing! Everything was perfect! I only wish we could get the car closer to unload the luggage, but that's the price you pay for being at such a central location in Guimarães!
