We fell in love with the cottage at first sight. Everything we needed was provided and more and Michelle and Peter were wonderful and friendly hosts. There is so much to do in the area that our four nights was almost not enough.

We had a lovely stay at Birch Lane cottage. Michelle and Peter have seen to every comfort and detail - the cottage is beautifully appointed and we felt at home.

We had to work in Huonville for a week and a bit and this was the perfect place to stay. 10min drive from Huonville, warm and comfortable, good wifi, best priced. Will stay again :)

Such a beautiful setting, peaceful and quiet amongst gardens and green fields. The accommodation is sparkling clean, the bed deliciously comfortable, and the entire apartment is very well equipped. We'll be back!

We loved our stay at this property. The owners are very friendly and went over and above to ensure we had everything we needed.

Birch Lane is a comfortable place from which to visit southeastern Tasmania. The apartment is clean, freshly painted, equipped with quality appliances, comfortable bedding and pretty much everything you could need on a holiday stay. The ceramic cooktop is touch-controlled and a bit tricky to operate until you get the hang of it. Michelle and Peter are friendly, warm, welcoming and helpful people. Whilst they live close to the apartment (in fact the apartment is an integral part of their own home), with separate entrances it is more than adequately private. Sapphire the cat, and dog Zoe, will indeed be there to welcome you but won't wear out their welcome. If any problem at all just text Michelle and she or Peter will be there in a flash. There is a very nice 2-car carport on a concrete floor right next to the apartment from which you can enjoy a stunning view across the truly beautiful Huon Valley. Everything shown in the photo presentation is pretty much as it is except it gives a somewhat misleading impression of spaciousness. Whilst the apartment will sleep five it does not provide living space for five since there is not much room to move once the (comfortable) sofa-bed is deployed. The dining table only seats four. Five people - or even four - would not want to be shut in there if the weather turned bad. The toilet has access from the main bedroom and the bathroom/laundry. Whilst not really a problem, the shower has only a single fixed glass transparent half-screen that isn't wide enough to prevent water from escaping to the floor. Summarising, Birch Lane is a charming and beautiful place to stay. Unless you're something of a rally driver Hobart is the better part of an hour's drive, but a nice drive. Huonville, a busy town with everything, is about 10 minutes. If you want to visit Bruny Island, Birch Lane is well on the way. As a family of four we greatly enjoyed our stay at Birch Lane and look forward to doing it again.
