A nice budget hotel in a nice town with a rustique charme. The breakfast buffet comprises typical french bread, eggs you can boil yourself, different kinds of cheese. There should be something for everyone. Cars can be parked on the premisses of the hotel and the gate is closed during nights. We enjoyed our stay and might come again if we are going to Nomandie again.

Good central location with on-street parking (free overnight) around the hotel and easy walk to restaurants and shops. Hotel itself rather tired but everything worked, and check-in was easy and friendly.

Excellent as always. Given a room upgrade to a larger room, very clean and newly refurbished, very comfy bed. Staff helpful and always polite. Fabulous breakfast, great selection.

This hotel has recently undergone some renovation work to its rooms and everything is pristine and practical.

Return stay en route . Room comfortable and ultra clean. The room (no 30) is exterior accessed and probably the furthest from reception which might be a factor in the very weak Wi-Fi which I couldn’t access. A visit to reception got me online but by the time I had walked back it had gone again. I even received a message saying ‘move closer’! Other than sitting in reception all evening this is hopeless. The most irritating aspect was the circulation pump which switched on and off throughout the evening and night every 2 minutes. As a result, our sleep was disturbed (understatement) as the noise emanating from the corner of the room next to the bathroom began with a groan and squeak and then whirred loudly before switching off after ten seconds. Then silence until it switched on again two minutes later . I know because I timed it! Had we been staying longer than one night I would have asked for a different room. We will not stay in the hotel again if allocated this room or, indeed, the room below which must also be similarly affected.

We stayed here on our last visit. The room and bathroom were both spacious and very clean. The location is great to be able to walk the downtown and find nice cafes for breakfast.

This is a traditional hotel, very convenient for the centre of Evreux. The rooms are around a courtyard and are reached by a steep staircase. The room was modern and clean, spacious and with a good sized bathroom. The Wi-Fi initially offered was unsecured, so my iPad would not allow me to use it. The helpful receptionist gave me a more secure link, but the signal was not good. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed when I stayed, but there are good reports of it when it has been open.

Could be a great hotel but it needs its restaurant and bar open. We were given good instructions to a great meal at a pub within 5 minutes walk.

Great room nr 1 at the back on the ground floor. However, the rooms at the 2nd floor at the front are hot & noisy because of busy traffic. Perhaps some airconditioning could solve the problem, then you can keep the windows closed and the noise out and still have a cool temparature

It was a good memory of a very happy stay many years ago. Sadly the hotel has become very tired , had no restaurant for dinner, breakfast was very basic the bedroom was unimpressive and very noisy and hot. The floor of the shower was in my opinion dangeriously slippery.

Frequently use the Normandy hotel and on our most recent stay we were given a newly decorated room with excellent spacious bathroom. Hotel is close to all amenities and the staff very friendly.

It was all fine. Maybe a little hard to see the sign, else perfect.

Convenient stop-off on the way to Eurotunnel. Very close to Evreux city centre which is lovely. Recommended by friends. Everything fine, very comfortable bed and lovely shower. However no one about when we left at 7.30 am, and we had to leave a note.

Agreable et ultra centre

This place needs a serious overhaul. There are several modern hotels in Evreux and quaintness doesn't cut it unless it feels neat, tidy and comfortable. Sadly, it doesn't.

Stopped here to break up the journey from our cycling holiday in France. Secure car park for the bikes and car. Lovely picturesque hotel and comfortable, clean room. Staff friendly and helpful. We were given an excellent recommendation and directions for a French restaurant as the hotels restaurant was shut ( Sunday night). We plan to visit again!

Where to start? The hotels.com web site told me this place and bedroom were air conditioned. They are not. Its a lie!. (and one of the hottest nights of the year.) The toilet seat was broken and the first unsuspecting user discovered it very painfully. The WIFI does not work in the room (17). The whole place is rather tired. The restaurant was closed. The whole town is being dug up. Hotels.com customers services do not reply to my complaint. Need anything more?

Hotel easy to find, staff friendly. Room quite small but comfortable. Due to very hot weather we needed windows open as there was no aircon. This made room noisy from road traffic and the bins being emptied under our window at 6.00am! Food and drink were good but expensive.

Stopped off on homeward journey motorbiking from Spain. 2nd time we have stayed there (last time 2 years ago) and now seems a tired hotel in need if refreshing and modernisation without losing its quaintness. Bedrooms very tired and also bathrooms but nevertheless a nice stay with a good nights sleep Breakfast Euro 10

Staying 1 night, room was on 2nd floor, no lift, room furthest point away.

I enjoyed this hotel as it was in a very old, traditional building, making it interesting. An old coaching inn, the "coach" entrance led into an enclosed garden and private car park (5 euros per night ). Monsieur and Madame made me feel very welcome. Comfy, spacious bedrooms. Decor was a little faded, but everywhere was clean. The restaurant was pricey, hit and miss food, veal chop and apple tarte to die for. Breakfast was good continental breakfast, with fresh croissants, good coffee, cheese, ham and "boil your own eggs". If you spend more than one night here you must visit Calaude Monet;s house at nearby Giverny.
