The standout part was the service - such friendly staff who are very accommodating. The room was large and well equipped and whilst the car park is small we managed to secure a space for all the days we were there. Bonus!: there’s also a cat!

From the moment we arrived the staff was outstanding. Friendly. Accommodating. I made an error in booking and they fixed it even though they didn’t have to. Parking is free and easy. The restaurant is incredible. The food, presentation and service were all next level. Next trip to Caen we will be staying here again. Thank you Ivan Vautier staff.

When we first got there we checked in and then wanted to have a drink at the bar. At first it seemed like a one man show, and it took a while, but it worked out fine. The room was nice enough and clean...the shower in our room was different..the hose and shower head were closer to the bathtub faucet, and the easiest way to shower was to sit in the bathtub. Another funny thing is how tall the toilet was, but it was all nice and clean and workable. My favorite part of the stay was our dinner experience. The food is amazing and the wine pairing was perfect.

Great hotel, short walk into town but the restaurant was the main reason for the visit.

It was very cozy, well appointed, quiet, luxurious.

I am a bit disappointed. Not the service you would expect for $200 night. The bath tap was loose, the water was not hot enough so the tub was not usable unless you like a cold bath... Coffee machine didn't work etc. finally due to covid restrictions and bad organization we could not even access the spa. I told the staff when leaving and didn't even get an apology just ok I will tell maintenance

We stopped here after a long day in Normandy. Relieved that there was parking. Walked in and got our room very quickly. Staff was super nice and spoke English. Room was very spacious, especially for European rooms. Bathroom was nice. I would stay here again.

Hotel clean and comfortable, our room was a good size, staff all were very efficient and spoke enough English and with my little French got everything we needed. Ate in the restaurant excellent food, good price for a Michelin star restaurant

Quaint rooms but nice sized and comfortable. Robes and slippers included. Nice, helpful staff. Restaurant is waaayyy expensive so we ate elsewhere. Not exactly close to center of town. It’s a good 25 min walk..up and down hills. Surrounding area is nice..we didn’t love Caen dispute all the hype. I would pass Caen but if you’re there..this hotel is nice and livable.

It was a nice stay, the breakfast at 15 EUR per person was a bit of a rip off, it was bread, pastries (normal European breakfast) but at 15 EUR per person it wasn't exceptional. The hotel was nearly empty and quiet (which was nice). The beds were clean and comfortable and the location was easy to get to. Parking was simple. The only negative thing I have to say is that we left the do not disturb sign on the door for our entire stay and each day the maid ignored it and came into the room to find my finance still asleep. That was frustrating because my finance wasn't feeling well and wanted to sleep in but she was awoke each day by the maid. There isn't all that much around the hotel in terms of food/drink so each day we drove about 5-8 minutes into the city center to get food/coffee and we did Uber Eats food to the hotel since there was not room service. Because the hotel restaurant was empty we didn't give it a try for dinner or lunch but the menu did look good.

This is a wonderful boutique hotel in a nice, residential section of Caen. The restaurant is superb. Sandrine at the front desk (and everywhere) is a gem. Sad to leave, even to go to Paris.

I'd been in this hotel for ICT 2018 conference in Caen. The clerks of the hotel are kind, and I could feel that they are always doing their best for customers.

Hotel is comfortable and restful. All the amenities expected were provided and advice and extras were given graciously on asking.

First impressions were very good. But then the a/c stopped working and the wi if became no longer available. The place was under-staffed. The young lady on the desk on our last morning was answering the phone and dealing with multiple other issues, and had no backup. So it took some time to check out.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Exceptional

The hotel room was clean and comfortable with good bed. It was somewhat tight but typical for hotels in Europe. Only complaints were that it was very dark even with all of the lights on and the bathroom door wouldn't stay closed. It is not in the center of town so all restaurants are a taxi or car ride. Good location for trips to beaches, museums, and surrounding sights. Dinner restaurant is high end with good quality but overpriced.

Overall my experience was pretty good. Hotel staff were nice, however because the bed was so uncomfortable it made the stay a lot less enjoyable as I was not able relax. I chose the hotel because it was more on the outskirts of Caen and closer to my day trip plans, however there were almost no restaurants within walking distance making a two night stay less pleasant. Anything more than a few nights would be too much just due to the location. I very much enjoyed my meal at the hotel restaurant upon my arrival and would recommend to eat there once as it is a Michelin Star restaurant.

Our stay was good, The staff was quite helpful and the meal was excellent.

Spent 2 nights at the IV and thoroughly enjoyed it. High light was dinner in the Michelin starred dining room. Magnifique!
