The rooms are in need of repair - we had peeling Wallcovering, a worn out couch, torn carpet in the hall. It makes the facility feel dirty even when it’s not. The front desk was so helpful to us & the housekeeping staff was wonderful in helping us find a lost earring

Light switch wasn’t working, super noisy hotel, phone wasn’t working, no bottle of still water in my room. Disgustingly dirty rugs.

Really enjoyed my stay. The roof pool was awesome and the entire staff was extremely helpful and positive. The location was perfect for me getting to my work event at Chelsea Piers. Parking right across the street was very convenient as well. Highly recommended.

Lobby area and elevator area smells like pee. Lighting system in the room is old and complex. Air conditioner is super loud. Rooms are ok and clean

Do not stay here if you have a family or are over 30. There's a nightclub on the top floor, and this place tries to cater to a younger crowd. The rooms are dingy and showing wear. Rooms have Concrete floors with visibly dirty area rug around bed. Bed was stiff & uncomfortable. Bathroom was an impractical joke. No counter space & nowhere in the shower to store your toiletries. Two towel "hooks" were mounted so high I could barely reach them. I spent 2 nights and my room wasn't made up, not even a towel refresh. I guess you have to ask. The hallways are really dark & drab with threadbare carpet. The price of this hotel was ridiculous given all I mentioned. The only thing I can say positive is that it was convenient for walking to everything around Chelsea and it was super easy to get Ubers.

The lobby and pool is great. Also the phd rooftop of the hotel! Very easy to use public transport.

Really good for the price, there is a nightclub in the same building and the rooftop of the hotel also moonlights as a nightclub so you might occasionally hear noise at night but nothing too bad

I’ve stayed at a lot of different hotels in New York and they’re pretty much all set up the same and the pricing for this one made no sense. I get it 300 or 400. Maybe even 500 for a room, but there was nothing special about this location or the service indoor garden that they offer is only open during certain times.

Very good location and nice, quaint room. But like other reviews mention, very noisy at night until about 4am from the street and the bars below. Also, $50 fee/day for gym and amenities that I didn’t know about until checkout.

This dream location is a “lifestyle” hotel, the property itself is great, the unfortunate part of the property is that it caters to the outside “guests”, this means if you want a $90 pool chair you can compete with the general public for it, if you want to sleep Wednesday through Sunday bring ear plugs because the bass from the nightclub will keep you up until at least 4 AM

Very nice hotel and stay, rooms are not huge. But with the location and all the things to do near by that was expected. All staff I interacted with were very friendly and professional. Would definitely stay again. For the price point of this hotel you are getting more than you pay for.

Front desk excellent service. Everyone at the hotel was ver attentive , friendly and helpful.

No happy with my stay here. Biggest issue to me is that the hotel doors do not automatically close behind you. The draft or pressure in the halls keeps them proped open a crack.. which could be risky for theft or safety. Even when I walked the halls I could see several people who didnt know the door didnt close properly.. with some being left open all night! This is not ok... There are no outlets anywhere near the beds? Very annoying for charging your p[hone and wanting the alarm close by... The fridge was broken, I moved rooms, the drawer was broken, then there was no bath robe, and the TV remote was not working. I found it shocking that every time I walked by the lobby/front desk the staff AVOID eye contact.. and dont even greet you. its very unwelcoming. The hallways smelled like weed and I could hear every conversation in the hallways. I am not a light sleeper, but this really affected me.

I stay at the Dream Downtown Hyatt for my birthday and I can’t say enough good things about this place. First off the staff was amazing and welcoming, (Glenny) a nice young lady from the staff give me a lot of options like great food places, lounges etc to check out she also gave me a card to give a restaurant name Philippe to get a free cocktail for my birthday like that was amazing. We book a pool access room but at check in a guy told us the pool access rooms are on the second floor however he gave us options like if we want a room where we can see the pool and that’s on the 6th floor, that was excellent because some hotels you have to pay for room upgrade. Me and boyfriend enjoy our stay and we really can say enough good things about this place. Big up (Glenny) we love and appreciate your kindness from start to end and thank you to the other staff members who show us love. Best hotel so far thank you guys.

Great location!

My mistake booking Friday and Saturday instead of Saturday and Sunday almost ruined my trip. The hotel was able to add the next night and it was the best hotel experience in NYC I've ever had.

They really need a microwave in the rooms and the bathroom literally was running non stop. Thank god the New York sounds washed it out

Beautiful property and great stay!

Overrated and over priced. The lobby had a terrible smell. The restaurant by the pool has menus that are barely readable, the food mediocre and the pricing is unexplainably expensive. Not to mention that even if you stay here there’s a $155 charge for 1 pool chair per person (crazy). The rooms are very small. Beds have our back hurting because they were so uncomfortable . However, The staff were really nice. Front desk, the guy attending the pool and the guy who opens the heavy door to go to the pool were all very helpful and nice when asked questions. PhD club a drink is $25 , full of 21year olds who can’t hold their liquor. Overall an experience, wouldn’t stay here again.

Location was great. Did not like the lights system in the room.
