Right on Piazza Sordello, room very comfortable and quoet

Had a lovely stay. Room was clean and spacious enough for three people. The location is brilliant.

We had a great stay, the location is wonderful. We had a room overlooking the Piazza but it also came with the obvious noise, the cleaners start work in the Piazza starts at 5am :-) The Hotel does have charm and the staff were helpful in choosing a great restaurant. Breakfast was restricted because of the current conditions but good all the same.

Nice hotel. Only complaint was ac was a little weak.

great location-- pleasant enough hotel-- but the wifi NEVER worked the whole time we were there, even though it was promised as part of the package; this was pretty inconvenient while traveling

Check-in was quick and easy. We parked a long walk from the hotel due to the concert in the square. However, it was the prefect location closest to the concert. Our window overlooked the back of the stage. We were able to see the band and crowd coming and going. Even without the concert, the location is ideal. The room and bathroom is smaller but very clean and modern. There is a small fridge, which we needed. Breakfast was great with many hot and cold options. Attentive staff. Will stay again.

The hotel has a perfect location and lives on this fact only. However the service level and athmospere needs improvement, with the exception of the breakfast staff member, who was very service minded.

Very pleasant hotel in the heart of Mantova. Good size room, pretty windows overlooking the piazza. Bed not so comfortable, mattress too hard. Great breakfast with lots to choose from.

This was our 2nd time staying here within the last 3 years. Family run hotel good service and a great breakfast with a lot to choose from. Most staff spoke English. Plus the hotel is located a comfortable walking distance from central city. Mantova is a beautiful city easy to get around nice stores and restaurants. Every Thurs major open market from piazza behind hotel to a few streets lot to see and purchase. Elton John was performing in piazza by hotel a couple days after we left. We would have had nice view from our hotel room window.

We wanted a hotel with a central location and this was excellent. The room was sparsly furnished and bathroom was small. The hotel could be a bit noisy, but for one night in the city centre it was ideal.

Hotel was good... but real noisy. I guess that's what you get when you book a hotel on the main square of a town!

Hotel Washington ok....could use a bit of TLC and some warm touches in in the room....ours was dry and faceless.

Great staff, very polite, location is second to none. Breakfast was good, and they gave me a torta as a gift when I checked out--completely unexpected!

Good basic hotel in a great central location serving a good breakfast. You can also get a good evening meal in the restaurant. Very friendly and helpful staff. Our room on the attic 4th floor was basic but clean. We couldn't get the air conditioning to work, which would be a real problem in the hot summer months, but we had a great view of the Cathedral, Palazzo Ducale and the main square. We could walk to most sights and we had dozens of restaurants and shops on our doorstep and it was relatively motor free which made walking around safe and pleasant.

The superb location and affordability are the most noteworthy things about this hotel. The staff was nice and the price is certainly right but the room had not been thoroughly cleaned prior to my check-in. Guestrooms receive maid service/cleaning every other day and the hallways are dark. Overall, not terrible...but not great either.

We paid for the experience of being directly on the piazza, which was wonderful. The receptionist was very competent, except that we had to be out of our room 10am on the dot, our luggage kept at the front desk despite the fact that no one needed the room. The twin beds were they type used for bunk beds and undersize for adults. The room was very small, but the AC worked well, the blackout shutters were great and the bathroom was clean. The breakfast included was excellent, except for the loud music. However, the restaurant run privately for lunch and dinner was horrendously overpriced. The other options on the piazza were far superior and less than half the price.
