Beautiful riad full of colour and character. On a quiet street in easy walking distance to the buzzing areas. Big comfy bed and nice hot shower. Breakfast was delicious and it was nice choosing different places to eat. Pool is lovely and the rooftop area is great to relax on. The biggest draw of this place is the staff. Wadi gave a big warm welcome with a useful guided chat with a map to explain the sites and areas. The staff there are incredible and Nada and the other people behind the scene work tirelessly and made us feel so welcome. A huge thank you to you all for a wonderful stay.

AMAZING. AMAZING. AMAZING. Words can’t express how grateful I am to the incredible staff. My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was like a movie. As soon as we arrived they welcomed us with a refreshing tea ceremony and outlined the entire city on a map for us. I’m allergic to gluten and dairy, and the staff went out of their way to shop and prepare special gluten free breads and dairy free smoothies for me. The hammam experience was INCREDIBLE… I had to do it twice because I loved it so much. The Riad organized all of our transportation and services, and I can’t speak enough to the love, care, and memorable experiences they put together for us. From a dinner in the desert, to shopping at cooperatives with true artisans, to beautiful bridal henna with a song to bless us, to having the sweetest driver who took pictures of us everywhere we went, to tailoring a skirt and pair of pants for me, to giving us a lovely farewell. WOW. I have stayed at five star hotels around the world, but the Riad Hikaya is so much more. They became family. We love this beautiful old world oasis and will be back with our family for years to come. Thank you for giving us the honeymoon of our dreams. You are all truly a blessing! -Megan and Cory

Pros: Hospitable Staff, mingle with locals, safe, beautifully decorated and managed, friendly staff delicious onsite and freshly prepared meals, quiet property, walkable distance to the souks and cafes, Cafe Clock literally 200 ft away from Riad, and happiest group of people I’ve met during Ramadan. Cons: The water did not get hot and barely came on after 10pm. The pool was not heated. WiFi intermittently drops( not really an issue for me as I’m on holiday and did not need it—more of an issue if you need it). Now that that’s out the way! I enjoyed my experience here and would not hesitate to stay again given longer time in Marrakech. The people are extremely friendly, honest, and hard working. They want you to enjoy their country and take an immense pride in having tourists from all walks of life in their beautiful country. This Riad felt like home away from home in the sense that I felt safe and knew that I was ok each night. My son who is 11 joined me on this trip and he loved the authentic Moroccan experience at the Riad to include the welcome tea. I will be back! Thanks to all!!

Great staff. Monsieur Wadia, manager took care arranging taxi to pickup from the airport, Hot air ballooning, quad at agafay, hike to Ourika water fall, massage...and drop off at the airport. Abdol was of great help. Got us SIM card, printed boarding pass.. The lady at the evening shift was very kind. She even offered to make breakfast for us 2.30 AM as we had an early morning flight Nada brought a nice birthday cake for my wife Excellent experience

We absolutely adored the Riad—a genuine Moroccan delight. The staff's kindness, available 24/7, made us feel at home, and we'll genuinely miss them. What a beautiful place to stay. We were welcomed by the manager and given some very useful information. Room was full of character and very comfortable. Breakfast was home made and very enjoyable. All staff were extremely polite and friendly and always looking to help. I will be telling all my friends to stay here. A truly fantastic experience all round.

my girlfriend and me where the only guests at the riad, which suprised us. we got an upgrade to the biggest room, right next to the pool and felt like family, the moment we entered the riad. staff is so friendly and helpfull. everything was perfect, beauftiful riad and atmosphere. breakfast was delicious and the location was also good. you can walk to the medina, in the night time we always took a taxi to get back to the riad, was like 20 dirram. many small restaurants and shops near the riad. thank you to the staff, for the experience and the upgrade.

Riad Hikaya is a feast for the senses- everywhere you look there are different Moroccan artefacts, textures and colours. You truly are transported to a different world as soon as you enter. All the staff are excellent- super attentive and friendly- making you feel like a king and queen within the Riad. Highly recommended, and so glad we stayed here. Excellent place to stay, staff treat you like family, nice neighbourhood

We stayed at Riad Hikaya for a few days in June 2023. The riad's staff is wonderful. They went out of their way to make us feel at home. For example, if you need a taxi, then the front desk can help you arrange one. The staff are also willing to help arrange anything else you need. The restaurant is good - a highlight is the breakfast. If you ask nicely, the staff will bring your breakfast up to the roof deck. The indoor pool is handy on a hot day. The hotel furnishings are beautiful. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

Beautifully decorated riad in a good location with super friendly, super helpful staff

A remarkable place for a short break. My wife loved it and filled my heart with genuine gratitude. We were treated extremely well and service was always with a smile. Guidance was apt and true. The Riad had so much craft and beauty it was so relaxing and remarkable. As Africans we were so proud of the quality of service and charm we experienced .

John greeted us and spent 2 hours briefing us on Marrakech; best sights, best restaurants, excursions, people, culture, history, scams to avoid, bartering tips, personal safety, .... This gave us a lot more confidence in what is quite an alien environment for most tourists. We really enjoyed the whole experience from beginning to end. We will recommend Riad Hikaya to family & friends.

We would like to thank Wadia and all the girls for the most amazing stay. My husband and I stayed for 8 nights in October, 2018. The staff treated us like family. It was our first visit to Africa and first visit to Morocco but we had a feeling we knew the people for a long time and they are the people we could rely on. All our excursions outside of Marrakesh have been arranged through the Riad and all of them were amazing. We had the feeling we were protected and we enjoyed every moment of everything that we were able to sightsee in Sahara desert, Ait BenHaddou, Atlas Mountains and Essauira. All the advices and recommendations provided by Wadia were priceless. The Riad itself is very beautiful, very nice decorated. It was our first and last pleasant touch to Moroccan culture. Without the Riad staff our trip to Morocco could not be so wonderful as it actually was. Thank you so much again Wadia and all the girls! You are brilliant!

Looks like a movie set but like a movie set, many things are visually appealing but actually don't work. Shower sprays all over due to connection which should have been fixed before guests arrived. Shower stall pan overflows. Beautiful Copper Tub but we had to use it as a luggage rack (no luggage racks). We only had two small rollaboards, one had to be placed in the bath tub and the other high on a shelf across from shower. Leather and cloth slippers were previously used. After bed was made one day I found a small white worm between the upper and lower sheet, also a little dark bug that when I squished it made a small red smear on the bed. The staff were nice but not trained and/or supervised well. We ate a meal there the first night but never after. While the cous cous grain was cooked nicely (best I had in Morocco) the lamb and chicken in both dishes were very tough and dry. Staff had a problem with anticipating our daily needs and needed to be reminded of coffee preparation and had to be taught how to boil an egg so the shell would come off easily (a little salt and vinegar). Staff were very nice but not very experienced. Dinner was one of the costliest we had in Marrakech and one of the worst (meat wise). I suggest the vegetarian cous cous. In closing, I'd skip this movie set until it gets its act together.

They were wonderful to me. I felt like their attention to detail was carried through out every part of my stay. The manager was thoughtful and reliable in his overall capacity as director. The women who attended to my care were also attentive to details, professional with heartfelt attention.

Everything is up to our expectation. Excellent breakfast, comfortable and location. Strongly recommend.

The property was amazing! It is very unassuming from the street, but once inside the doors it is like a magical place! The host, John, is such an interesting and knowledgeable fellow - super helpful and provided so much information. The staff were also exceptional. They were very responsive and kind - genuinely interested in making your stay the best. I would definitely go back to Riad Hikaya.
