I booked 2 Superior Doubles- with King size beds. Check in closes at 9.30, so we didn’t stop for dinner on our way to make sure we made it (ended up not finding dinner after checking in). While driving, I received two emails, two (shortly worded) text messages and missed calls. We arrived and checked in by 8.20. The man at reception spoke to us like we were idiots, late and inconveniencing him. We later noticed that they were not, in-fact, king size beds but regular doubles. By that point, the main had left. I searched specifically for King size beds, and am unsure why we were harassed for being over an hour before closing.

Comfortable guest house within walking distance of Oxford center, university & along River Thames. Room was exceptionally clean. Some parking on premise (first come, first serve). Steep stairs, no elevator but that is to be expected in guest houses. Good place for solo, couples, families. Would stay here again.

Small space but neat

Very clean rooms with everything needed. Friendly service, good location. Would definitely come here again.

Nice clean room, good big window. Pillows & bed quite firm which meant I didn’t sleep that well. Could do with a fridge in room. Other wise had a nice stay.

Good sizes room and bathroom

Very limited free parking (9 spots) and not sure there is anywhere else to park nearby; it was the closest hotel I could find to downtown. The room looked newly refreshed and was clean, but the towels were a bit threadbare. Water flow was pretty weak for the shower. The area looks like it’s in the middle of being upscaled so it looked a little dicey, but since it’s on a main street, it probably is reasonably safe. Traffic was horrendous getting there, so don’t miss the turn to the parking lot; it may take a long time to turn around !
