We were very disappointed in our stay. After reading so many wonderful reviews my husband booked this resort to celebrate my 40th birthday. When we arrived to our room the first night, I noticed a very strong smell of mold/mildew. It was late so we went ahead and “ ignored” it until the following day. We went down to the front desk where they switched us rooms. We packed up our stuff and went to the new room where the smell was even worse! We had a full day planned with reservations on the water so we didn’t have time to switch rooms a 3rd time. In the 2nd room our refrigerator was broken, which ruined a nice birthday treat my husband had delivered , our TV appeared to have a cracked screen and our AC wasn’t regulating. We arrived back to our hotel late at night so we decided to tough it out and leave early the following day (6am because we couldn’t sleep) it was probably one of the worst resort rooms we have ever been to! Also be aware the area surrounding the resort is pretty sketchy. Lots of police activity near all the mobile home parks. We would not recommend staying here.

The staff as soon as we pulled up everyone was amazing the view of the room check in with Sophia and area where u rent the bike Heather they where great me and my husband enjoyed everything

Nice and peaceful location

No up front prices/inflated prices. Shuttles with no A/C. Shuttles only on the hour. Far from downtown. Nothing around to walk to. Limited menu. No beach/ocean swimming. Not worth the price. I’ve stayed in much nicer places for less. Terrible stay. Just nothing going on.

Nice experience

I took my first stand up paddling class with a wonderful instructor, Heather. She really took her time and did a great job on explaining everything in detail. Thank you for being patient with me😉 We only gave two stars for around the property strictly because walking outside of the resort isn’t pleasant. If you enjoy walking, jogging, or exploring the area outside the resort, you may find it not safe or pleasant. Use Google Earth for more details.

Do not care for the additional costs per day (parking and daily service fees). Also, the room descriptions were very loose when describing ‘ocean view.’

This is our third visit to key west and staying at oceans edge. We must like it or wouldn’t keep going back. Already planning to go back in November. We live the pools and the restaurant and the marina with all of the fishing boats.

AC was centrally controlled so we could not set it for the temperature we normally sleep in, that made the room hot!

Great hotel

Anela provided an excellent kyacking tour. Be sure to review bills carefully for errors and extra charges.

At first the desk was going to charge us $40 per night for a room upgrade. We had to show the website booking to prove we were eligible for free upgrade.

Wonderfully located with ocean front

The hotel itself was nice. There were lots of pools to choose from and the room had a lovely view. However, we were charged twice for the security deposit on arrival and when we questioned this no one could tell us why. There is also the unexpected parking fee at the end which is A LOT! The surrounding area was also not great.

We absolutely loved the property. Beautiful rooms with safe parking. The marina is gorgeous and we loved the live music.

The location is nice and the marina is great. The rooms are dated, not very clean or well maintained and service was inconsistent throughout our stay.

Watch for fees that they don’t tell you about. We were unaware of a $27.00 per day parking fee to park in the hotel parking lot.

Wanted to change the dates and no one responded to my concern. Expedia made an attempt to help me but nothing was resolved. I WAS ROBBED !!! Deposit was taken for a hotel stay that i didnt even stay at. Do not want to use expedia or ever stay at this hotel for the horrible experience I encountered!!!

Everyone was friendly and helpful. I had a refreshing and relaxing experience.

Price too high

First, I am not sure what VIP benefit I supposedly received. The rooms were very nice, they overlooked the pools and we had a view of all the boats. The hotel was not crowded, pool chairs were always available. The restaurant was expensive, but nice…good food, over-looking the water. The weird thing is that one of our adjoining suites smelled like wet socks and the other was perfectly fine…it was very weird. I was disappointed for the amount of money I spent but I was not there long enough to make a big deal about it.

The rooms where very nicely done. There wasnt any microwave so if you had leftover food you werent able to heat it up. Only bad side is that it took about 20 minutes to get to Downtown and they dont pick up or drop off at the airport.
