Friendly staff, nice bar & really good breakfast

When trying to check in the desk staff saw me approaching and instead answered the phone to keep us waiting (as if a phone customer is more important than a customer who is already present.) Advertised as having an EV charger but doesn't note they charge a flat fee of £25 regardless of charge used (more expensive than a motorway services so total rip off.) Walls are paper thin so people coming back at 2am woke us up and their chatting kept us awake for an hour, also the person next to us snooring was obnoxious to listen to.

Friendly staff and nice room. Carpet on room could be a bit better cleaned, but was not terrible. Breakfast could have had more variety and fresh bread etc.

The area was spacious as well as the rooms. The staff were exceptionally friendly. The food was excellent.

Exceeding expectations. Very clean hotel throughout, staff helpful and friendly throughout our stay and plenty of them which is nice to see these days. Got room for a good price which included breakfast which was excellent.

We stayed here while visiting family, it was a great base to start our break. We found the room spacious, clean and the bed comfortable. The staff on the check in were great and hard working, we will certainly come back again

Excellent hotel for an overnight stop. We stayed on route to Folkestone from Glasgow & had a very comfortable stay. The room was clean & spacious and the air con was really appreciated in the hot weather. Most of all the service was excellent! I had to contact hotel in advance as I'm on quite a specific low fat diet for medical reasons. They really went above and beyond to make sure I had something to eat for an evening meal & breakfast. This really made me much happier and less anxious about eating away from my own home cooking. My husbands & daughters meals were also fab & we found the prices really reasonable. Would definitely stay here again! Thanks so much to all the staff, you were fantastic!

Great business hotel if you not looking for 5 star comfort. It does what is says on the tin. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Two nighter in Wigan. Hotel close to where I needed to be. HIE do the job as needed. Room was clean, wifi was good for working. Restaurant had a reasonable menu that was freshly cooked. Breakfast was buffet style and no issues. Service was good.

Excellent hotel with EV charging!

Friendly efficient staff would have been 5 stars but wanted £10 to check in early which most Hotels do not do. Premier Inn do this so I stopped staying with them so will have to rethink Holiday Inn if asked again as the room is either ready or not.

Nice stay at this Holiday inn Express. Staff an asset to the business as they were all very friendly . Nice evening meal and all inclusive breakfast. Room clean , comfortable and quiet.

Probably the best Holiday inn I have ever stayed in. A friendly welcome and very clean and comfortable. Best of all was the food a great Sirloin steak at a great price. Usually order in takeaways when I stay in big hotel chains glad I didn't this time

Helpful and friendly staff

Good hotel a bit out of Wigan but near the football stadium, so good for our stay. A taxi was about £5 to the centre.

Great for an overnight stay or two. Rooms were big (3 in our room) beds very comfy, quiet location and loads of parking and free which makes a change.Breakfast was great staff very helpful and all very clean

Rooms a bit tired and carpet stained but the staff were excellent and food in the restaurant was very good

The staff are a huge asset. Everyone we met with was helpful and welcoming. The bedroom was ckean, recently refurbished, spacious and quiet. We will definitely stay there again.
