Clean tidy excellent size family room in central location Check in quick and easy lovely comfy bed and nice bathroom and peaceful sleep Would stay again and happily recommend

6 weeks prior to booking date I had asked to be placed in a twin room that was a high up as possible and away from the main road. On my arrival they placed us on the very first floor in the junction next to the main road and the traffic lights. Basically resulting in no sleep. After entering the room and finding they had ignored my wishes.I told them of the situation they said they would look at changing or upgrading the room but that it might not be a twin as no twins that I had requested were available. I received a call from the duty manager and it was clear that wouldn’t do anything to rectify the situation or offer anything in way of compensation for the poor service I had received. Instead receiving an email to complain to. As it was a one night stay it seemed entirely pointless as by the time they would do anything it would be redundant as we were leaving at 8am The gentleman who was working the breakfast shift in the restaurant how ever provided great service and an excellent demeanour. He went above an beyond for our requests in the morning and was for me the star of the hotel. He deserves recognition

The hotel was clean and the rooms were really comfortable

Everything was as you requested very welcoming and up-to-date with everything

The shower was brilliant and the bed was comfy

Messy checkin, room was terrible (overlooking busy road and beside elevator), was advised to pay to move… paid and then refunded due to their technical issue and waiting for a half hour to see if they had a decent room. moved to a higher floor room still overlooking road and just as close to the elevator… Wifi is decent, food in the franchised restaurant was ok, room service not good. Building randomly shook regularly, not sure if it was regular trucks going by the main road or what but it was not a quality feel…

The hotel and staff were excellent. Unfortunately, the Bridgwater town came across as grotty and run down.

The hotel is very well maintained. The room was lovely and big and clean. Kettle with coffee and tea. Iron with iron board and hairdryer all working. Beds was lovely. Lights in the room seem to be all on or nothing hard to do low light or just leave bathroom light on. We had breakfast as a extra was really happy with breakfast all staff was very friendly and helpful

All good just the bed was uncomfortable, I would say not quite sleeping on the floor

Very good, albeit only a 1 night. Will definitely use this hotel again in view of our overall satisfaction in every aspect and excellent location.

The hotel itself is pleasant enough. My room looked fine until I looked closely. The sink hadn’t been cleaned properly - you could see where the last person had spat out their toothpaste! , The shower glass still had soap on it and one of the mugs was dirty. I had to clean the mugs before I could use them. The cooked breakfast was too dried out but that’s because the hotel was very quiet and I imagine the breakfast items stayed on the servery for quite a while. I had room service and my meal was quick and very good.

The Hotel was fine - as expected. Receptionist forgot to tell me that I needed to use my key card to use the lift and couldn't work out why the lift wasn't arriving (plus only one of the two lifts was working). Overnight - several youths had a pitched fight in Church Lane with general disorder (kicking doors etc...) Woken up very early to a 'Warning this vehicle is reversing' noise from somewhere outside and opposite before the sound of a bottle bank being emptied ... crashing bottles/breaking glass etc

A smart, clean hotel, situated a short walk from the town centre. Friendly staff and a quick check in. The room was very clean and comfortable and quiet. I didn’t sample the food whilst there so cannot comment on that. Overall a good value stay.

The hotel was very good and staff great just one blip with breakfast but sorted out quickly very happy with the way they treated the dog

Difficult to set temperature in the room. Uncomfortable bed and smelly. Breakfast food very poor, low quality Some hairs (not mine) in the bathroom. Not at Mercure standards.

Deeply grateful for my 2 night stay while waiting on my bag to be found by the airlines. The room service was perfect. Most staff were wonderful to deal with. There was an issue with lack of food items in the dining room the 2nd night, however, the dining staff compensated for that. All in all, much needed place to be. They are also willing to help me with collecting my bag when it is finally found. Above and beyond! Thanks so very much!

Another return stay at this hotel to break up our long journey home. Room very comfortable and clean. Had a meal in the restaurant which was very nice.

Very good hotel but in a run down area with limited parking. It looks like there will be a future regeneration scheme around the hotel which should improve things.

Stop over stay . Receptionist was very welcoming . Everywhere was clean . Downside couldn't use the bar as we were traveling with our dog and dogs weren't allowed in that area. Room was very spacious and clean . Very good shower. Had electric car chargers in car park but they are very expensive
