The wellness centre surpassed our already high expectations. The newly refurbished rooms are great, well thought through. Food and drinks were top notch as well. But the amazing lake views are only from the the few top floors, if you are fortunate to get them. The staff were another positive surprise, very professinal both at the hotel and in the nearby Koliba Patria (this is not so common in Slovakia hence the praise!)

The hotel had all the facilities necessary for an amazing stay without worries. The spa and restaurants were amazing. The personnel was very friendly.

Great stay even if for one night. Breakfast was a bonus. The spa amenities and pool are open until 9:30 pm so that was great to do before retiring for the night.

Perfect place for a getaway. Only wish we had more time to enjoy the facilities. Front desk was super and was able to schedule last minute massages. Only down size is the room we had only had one outlet for charging phone.

This Hotel is perfect for a cozy stay in the mountains. The spa is beautiful and there is plenty of restaurant around it. As a Vegan the hotel could have some more vegan options at breakfast but all in all I was able to have enough food with fruits and toast. I am sure the kitchen would have made something for me if I had asked. We will come back for sure! Surrounded by mountains and activities at the lake it is a perfect place to stay for a couple of days or more

We loved that the hotel was on the lake! We had a cute balcony overlooking the lake which we opened at night to get air circulation into the room. Room is ok, bathroom ok, and room was clean. Breakfast has lots of variety and parking was free. Only word of caution is be careful if paying cash as we had a server at the outdoor restaurant not give us the correct change and pretended not to understand- I guess he thought he deserved a big tip..oh well! Apart from that, it was a great stay in a beautiful location.

I loved staying at this iconic hotel. The room was great - I got a free upgrade - even though the bathroom setup was a little untraditional. Excellent bed. And what a view! Had the dinner buffet, which was sensational. Slovak comfort food! Breakfast was also good.
Did the fairly short walk around the lake next to the hotel, and the view across that towards the hotel and the Tatra Mountains behind was nothing short of epic. What a location!
Tried to think of something negative, but not even the price was too bad - but then I am used to Norwegian prices, I suppose.... So all in all, great stay! Hope to come back soon.

Staying in the mountains Slovakia was a real treat especially since the village my mother grew up and was just 10 miles away. We enjoyed every moment in the hotel was perfect. The breakfast was very good, and it was nice to sit and have a drink in the evening.

Excellent location, nice renovated rooms, good wellness inside with all necessary facilities and absolutly great new outside wellness dedicated only to adults. Big plus for the free of charge parking place. Breakfast could be better however on the good slovakian level. I fully reccomend.

A paradise for children. 5* breakfast and wellness, very nice staff from reception, restaurant, bar, wellness to animators. The best location without a doubt!

It is an amazing hotel, right by the iconic lake in Strbske Pleso in Slovakia. Great no frills spa & wellness area. Convenient for trekking & winter sports

Four star hotel without a kettle in the room and one glass cup for three people. No internet password in the room or phone number to reception, actually no information about anything in the room. Room was nice and clean. Some staff walking around without wearing a mask or face covering. Food was great. An overall good hotel but with room for improvement.

First visitors after closing for CoVid 19, but we were thankful that the restaurant was open, as others around are still closed. Breakfast was great.

Good hotel but not great value as quite expensive. Great location right by the ski field so can easily walk to it in 2-3 mins. Service was ok when first went to check in about 11 we knew it was early and were just expecting to leave our bags but the lady at the desk didn’t even pretend to be friendly or helpful as I approached the desk before I could even say anything she spurts out “check in not till 2”. I have stayed in a lot of hotels and I understand the time for check in but usually people take your details and in a friendly manner check if the room is ready as sometimes they are and then offer to store your bags. We had to ask for all this to be done and it started the stay off on a sour note. Otherwise can’t fault it nice breakfast

Comfortable hotel, friendly staff, great breakfast and excellent spa facilities.
Just a couple of things would have improved the comfort level and experience -
tea/coffee making facilities ( even our suite did not have this)
A shower screen for the over the bath shower to prevent the bathroom floor being flooded

Two surprises
1. Reception is not carrying a small toothpaste kit if travelers forget one. This is a standard for this scale of hotels.
2. The entertaining and spa facilities are open in quite inconvenient and different times and as advertised...at last during our stay

The hipotel location is great. Rooms has old furniture. Food is ok no nore then that. In the hotel there is bawling and biliard but it works only 5 days a week. Did not work when i was there.

The place is very good but the hotel is old and not very well maintained. You get the impression of a previous Soviet place. It should be renovated. Yet, the Wellness facilities are very good.

Hotel Patria is perfectly located for skiing (lifts are half a mile away) but it`s Spa area really makes it a great place to stay. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual. The non-renovated rooms are on the smaller side, but still ok.
