The most stunning view of any place I’ve stayed. The home is beautiful. The location was convenient to Blowing Rock, Boone, and Tweetsie Railroad. The property manager was very responsive and communicative. We also loved the ping pong table. The grill was easy to operate. There were only a few negatives to the overall stay: the place was not as clean as I’d hoped it would be for the amount of money we paid to stay; the internet is not high speed and was out a majority of our stay due to a storm; and, the upstairs bedrooms can hear every tiny sound made in the living room/kitchen.

Our group had a total of 6 adults and 7 children ages 3 - 11. The lower level bunk room was perfect for the kids. Incredible view.

This house checks all the boxes - layout, decor, Mountain View, well-appointed kitchen, location and more! The photo does not do the view any justice - waking up with a cup of coffee and looking out at the long range view was the highlight of my trip. The kids loved the downstairs bunk-bed and entertainment space - it made for peaceful moments for the parents upstairs. We enjoyed cooking in the well-appointed kitchen with large fridge. All this and just a quick drive into Blowing Rock. Book with confidence as the owners get 5 stars for communication and having all the little details covered for our stay. Thanks for having us! Property was great. Nice views from the windows up and down stairs. Bedrooms where all large and comfortable with large TV's. House was clear and well stocked. Host where easy to reach and very friendly. Had a great time there

Our group was 5 adults and 7 children ranging from 11-17. The cabin has the perfect amount of space. The downstairs was ideal for the kids to hang out, play games, and watch movies, while the adults conversed, cooked, and enjoyed some wine on the second floor. The view is spectacular and the terrace provided a space to enjoy it. The rooms were all spacious and comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped and stocked. The cabin is close to several markets, stores, activities and restaurants. Like other reviewers already mentioned, the drive way can be tricky. We have a Honda Odyssey and the bottom of the car hit the ground coming in and out of the drive way the first few times, but eventually figured out a way in and out that worked for our car. Overall, it was a great experience and we will definitely return.

This rental was accompanied by anything you needed in the kitchen. Plenty of toys for children to play with and the pool table is a real plus. Beds were very comfortable. View was amazing. We would definitely rent again. I would highly recommend this rental for couples or family gatherings.

We had a great time while staying here. It has an awesome view and everything was so nice. The drive way took a little maneuvering on our car, so an SUV or truck will be helpful. We would definitely recommend.

The view is as advertised-m - amazing! The house is also great - outfitted with absolutely everything you can imagine from toys to kitchen appliances to hair dryers in every bathroom! All the furniture and beds are super comfortable and there are zillions of towels! The owners were extremely accommodating of all of our requests and their hospitality was beyond expectations. We met the caretaker and she was great too. We only have good things to say about our month long stay at Rocky Knob! Plus there is so much to do in this beautiful part of the world. Only downside is that there are quite a few very good restaurants and both of us gained a few pounds!

We had the most relaxing time here! The views are amazing- just breathtaking. The furniture is nice and new and the king bed was super comfortable. The kitchen is stocked with everything you can imagine. The ping pong table was fun to have, and there are big flat screen TVs with Direct TV in every room. The main floor fireplace is gorgeous- we didn't want to ever leave! But if you do, it is very close to downtown Blowing Rock. The gravel road is wide enough to pass another car on, and it was easy to navigate during our August stay. You won't regret booking this beautiful home!

The views were amazing! The views and size of cabin were the main reasons for choosing this property. Ping Pong was great for all ages. It was great to have the kids downstairs in the bunk beds. Yet, the main deck was large enough for us all to gather. The kitchen was well stocked and a delight to cook in. Everyone enjoyed our stay. Growing up in the mountains of NC the gravel road and climbing roads were expected. However, I can see where people not use to this maybe a little intimidated and not know to go slow or what to do when meeting a car. I loved it!

The views from this house are amazing. Bedrooms and bathrooms super clean and comfortable. The AC was broken during our stay, but even in mid June the weather was bearable without it. The drive in is on a gravel road and a little scary the first couple of times you drive it. The view is worth it, though.

We had a wonderful weekend stay here at Apple Ridge. The house was clean, well prepared for us, and easy to get to. Our teenagers loved the ping pong table, and the adults loved sitting out on the decks reading and enjoying the views and weather. The gourmet kitchen was a treat as well - we cooked in a few nights and got Woodlands BBQ the third (highly recommended!). We'll definitely look for an opportunity to visit again in the future.

We had a lovely stay with plenty of room for all 3 families we went with. Entertainment indoors and outdoors for kids and adults alike! A short drive from Appalachian Ski Mountain and hiking all around. The house had everything we needed, and the owners were east to get in touch with about various things. The view was nice once the fog and rain rolled through. Can’t control the weather, am I right?! A hot tub would have been a fun addition on the porch, however we were entertained and relaxed all weekend long.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this adorable cabin. The views were amazing, the location was perfect, and with 7 kids in tow, the downstairs game room and bunk beds were a huge hit. It was nice there was something for everyone. Not to mention, the owners have thought of everything to help make your stay enjoyable. Not a detail was missed. Would highly recommend, and we look forward to staying again the next time we visit Blowing Rock.
