The house was an incredible spot to celebrate my birthday, Thanksgiving, and to make special family memories on Seneca Lake. Everything was clean, and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was fully stocked and the beds were out of this world comfortable. Would definitely stay in the house again and hope to!! Jill was responsive and left me the nicest birthday basket upon arrival. 10/10 would recommend!

We had a fabulous family weekend at this home. When we entered the property we were greeted by a glowing fire in the fireplace and a beautiful welcome basket. The home was meticulously clean and beautifully decorated. Situated on the east side of the lake, the home takes advantage of the sunset with multiple patios, decks and expansive windows and doors. We also loved being right on Seneca Lake -just beautiful!! The owner was very attentive with making sure everything was satisfactory . . . Which of course it was beyond satisfactory! This is a very special property. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back!

A house that does not disappoint and a property owner that is very responsible and honest. The house is as described in the listing and beyond. Besides the beauty of the view and lake, the house itself it’s a next level luxury home. You will not be disappointed. Jill made sure we were welcomed during our check in and offered a late check out. We will definitely be returning!

This property- house, game area, waterfront- is beautiful and has everything you would need for your vacation. We were looking for a quiet place to stay to enjoy the Finger Lake region for a few days of our fall break and we definitely found the right place. The property owner put so many small touches in places that we felt spoiled and well taken care of during the entire stay- the fireplace was on when we arrived (and it was cold so it was wonderful); there were local carry-out menus, the house smelled amazing, there were even travel size toiletries in place in case we forgot something. The house is on a dead-end road which is quiet and has direct access to the state park lake pathway. We really enjoyed our visit.

We stayed two weeks, September - October, and hated to leave. Very relaxing, spacious, and functional house on all three floors with lots of glass and light and fabulous views. We found every room to be very comfortable and fully furnished/supplied, particularly the kitchen. We loved using the gas fireplace on cold evenings, but the balcony, deck, and terrace--where we spent the most time--stole the show, especially at sunset! The gas fire pit on the terrace is awesome at night. And the double car garage serves as an incredibly furnished game room. The central but secluded (and quiet!) location of the house was perfect for our trips to the area wineries and cities, and we daily walked the wide, paved trail along Seneca Lake, which runs through Sampson State Park and begins just a few houses down the street. The trail has clearings and benches to view the lake and can be used on foot or bicycle. This house has it all, and the owner was very responsive to our questions. We wouldn't hesitate to go back, and highly recommend it.

My family and I recently stayed here from Friday to Sunday to tour the wineries on Seneca Lake. We had an amazing time. The home is beautiful and has everything and more you could imagine to enjoy your stay. Jill thought of every detail to make your stay as cozy and welcoming as it could be. It truly felt like a home away from home. The home was immaculate, the views breathtaking and there was so much to do at the house for everyone. I hope that we can get back there again and enjoy it in the warmer weather. I would definitely recommend staying here. It was beautiful.

The home was wonderful and a perfect place for friends or families to have a great time. Game room in garage was a huge success. Everything was top notch with anything you would need for a vacation. Thoughtful gift basket when we arrived which our whole group loved. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a place to stay on Seneca Lake.

We were so impressed with everything about the house, the yard and dock, the amenities and games, the host communication and the location. It is perfect for families who needs lots of different activities to entertain different age groups (including a wonderful walking/running/biking trail at the end of the street). We plan to stay a full week next summer!

The first thing I would like to mention is how communicative and accommodating Jill is. She quickly responded to any questions I had before our stay, and made our check-in extremely easy. The house is absolutely breathtaking, immaculate, and full of every amenity you could think of. The house is about a half hour drive south to Watkins Glen and Taughannock Falls, and a half hour drive North to Geneva where you can find some great restaurants. We rented a party bus to visit as many wineries as we could, then made it back to the house to see the AMAZING sunsets each day. We truly spent quality time with our family thanks to the kayaks, games, and fire-pit that Jill provided to us. This property goes above and beyond anywhere else we have ever stayed. This home was everything we hoped for and more. The house was spotless and beautifully decorated. We felt at home immediately, it was warm and inviting. The house had everything, even throws in the living room, that our family enjoys at home. The rooms were cozy, the beds were comfortable and the view and sunsets were breathtaking. Jill thought of everything. We enjoyed kayaking, ping pong, cornhole, darts, air hockey and just relaxing on louges outside.It was peaceful on the lake and the area is quiet. We barbecued and made s'mores in the evening. We visited a winery and a few breweries and Watkins Glen State Park. We enjoyed the house immensely and would definitely return. The host Jill could not have been more helpful when we spoke with her before our stay. She answered all of our questions and was a joy to talk with.

This house has it ALL! Everything you could ever want in a vacation home was available. Best house we’ve ever stayed in.

We stayed with another family for a long weekend and everyone absolutely loved the house. It was a wonderful stay and we all agreed we would love to come back. The house was absolutely gorgeous and extremely clean. Jill was an amazing host who thought of everything plus some extra special details! The house had everything we needed plus some extra special touches like snacks, bikes, and floaties. We also loved being so close to the park. We had so much fun! I wish we could have stayed longer.

After spending a week at this lake front property I have a full appreciation of why it named, “Stairway to Haven.” It truly is a spectacular space inside and out. The owner has thought of it all and beyond. With 5 adults and 5 children together (ages 3-11) this house did not disappoint!!!! There was ample space for all. From a well- stocked kitchen, the fluffy couch pillows & blankets and comfy beds to all the outdoor yard games, floats, beach towels and a gas fire pit, etc! Oh, and the bikes and game room too. I can’t think of what is missing! You simply need to pack a suit, some lounge wear and groceries- that’s it! (We went to the Wegmans in Geneva and Big M close by) The lake view patios are such great spaces and east for all ages to enjoy ! We had one pretty rainy afternoon but hung out on the covered porch all day- read books, kids water colored rocks and did crafts. Adults enjoyed coffee to cocktails! Jill was very prompt to see how check in went and asked if we had any questions. She was easily accessible through our week too. The home was very welcoming and clean. Jill has it contemporarily-decorated so nicely. Overall, the amenities, decor and location of the house made for such a relaxing and enjoyable week. We would love to stay again!

Jill’s house is amazing! It is just as listed in the photos or even better. Jill seemed to think of everything you may need to have on your stay. As a group, we have stayed as several houses throughout the finger lakes region and this was by far the cleanest and most well stocked. She had life vests of all sizes, water toys/inflatables, kayaks, out door games, indoor games, travel bath items in the event you forgot anything, any kitchen item you could imagine, coolers, soft linens and towels, and most importantly super comfortable beds. The game room was well loved by all the kids ages 5-14 and the adults as well. We even used the bikes (helmets were also stocked) for a ride through the state park just up the road. The lake itself was great. A little more shallow off the dock than we have been used to making jumping in difficult for the older kids and adults. We were given access to the jet ski lift which was very useful given we had fairly strong storms one night. We decided to rent a boat from the marina not far away rather than bring our own. Renting was easy. The town of Ovid itself is small but expected and plenty of great breweries and wineries in the area. We had one minor issue on our second day but Jill was very fast to respond and it was resolved quickly. Also, be ready for some stairs which are pictured in the photos. I highly recommend Jill and her beautiful home if you are looking to explore the Seneca lake area!

This house had everything you could think of. Jill was easily available to contact. The house is gorgeous and accommodated our family of 10 right on Seneca lake. I would definitely stay there again.

This house was truly a getaway for a few days and our only regret was having to leave. The house has everything you could possibly need during your stay. It’s a gorgeous house both inside and out. The kids loved the game room! Hearing the water outside was so serene, it really made it hard to leave. Jill was fantastic with communication in answering questions and making us feel welcome. This house is in a great location that makes it easy to drive anywhere in the Finger Lakes area. We can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend!! Thank you again!!

We had a lovely time at Stairway to Haven on Seneca Lake. Jill was a fantastic host and a pleasure to work with. The property was exactly as expected and more than met our needs for a weekend away with family and friends. The weather was lousy, but we wanted for nothing, as Jill had thought of everything! The game room was a godsend with 3 kids aged 10 & under... We did not hear "I'm bored" once all weekend, despite the rain. The views of the lake were amazing, the covered porch was a favorite spot for admiring the view. We hope to return in the warmer months to enjoy the lake even more. 10/10 would recommend!

The place was amazing! The place goes beyond the measures of the pictures posted. The only issues we had were the smell from the pipes because the water hasn’t been ran for a while, but Jill responded right away. The kitchen was equipped with every thing we needed for a nice home cooked meal….With updated pipes we would definitely stay again. The property is beautiful and was the perfect size for me and 6 of my friends.

Stairway to Haven is an outstanding, modern and pristine property with an incredible view! We celebrated my wife's birthday will close friends and enjoyed all of the fantastic amenities offered! The location is perfect for access to the lake, nearby wineries, dining locations and even a walking/biking train along the river. We would enjoy a return trip in the future!
