Loved it! One of our favorite places on our 10 night road trip. The view is beautiful. Having a kitchen and deck was also nice. Good location about 10 minutes from Vik.

A very swank and trendy property about 10 mins drive from Vik, and about 5 mins from Reynisfjora Beach. Comfortable, clean with a bar and hostel (of all things) as part of the complex. Great views from most rooms. Missing some features that you'd expect in a room in this price range, such as a dishwasher, washing machine and oven. And despite having tea and coffee, there was no darn sugar, which was a disappointment.

Close spot to the black sand beach near Vik. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well apportioned. Great spot to view the northern lights.

Our stay was fabulous! The setting is spectacular. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was very quiet. Easy to find. Just gorgeous! We got to see the Aurora Borealis finally.

We were in Vik for one night, and stayed at the Black Beach Suites. I was very excited as we’d heard great things about this hotel and spent a good deal of money to stay at such an upscale place. It wasn’t the hotel’s fault, but we had no water or power the entire evening. The whole town of Vik was out apparently. Staff did what they could to accommodate but we couldn’t really enjoy our room or any of the amenities. The hotel did not offer any kind of discount. It was a bummer.

We liked the property and location. The place was a bit dark. We wish there was more lights or brighter lights in the room. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen was awesome. Love the high ceiling. Was hoping for outdoor furniture on the beautiful deck to sit and enjoy the view. Wish we could have stayed longer.

This was a very beautiful room with a great view. It was comfortable, clean and well designed. They had a kitchenette and the bathroom is very nice. Note that they are listed as being in Vik but they are not. Google map says they are in Nordurfoss and it's actually 7.5 km from Vik so keep that in mind. To us that was the only downside as we had hoped to stay in Vik.

Great location but I feel like it’s a bit too pricy for what you get. Bathroom had an odor and the room was sweltering hot.

Great site not far from black beach. Had a great kitchenette so could cook up breakfast and prepare a lunch so as to be gone all day. Very quiet. Gave us access to multiple sites within 2 hours. Only negative was lighting in bathroom for makeup. Would highly recommend this site when in Iceland.

Cozy, clean and spacious place. Beautiful view and close to Black Beach.

Very convenient and comfortable hotel in an amazing location in Vik and adjacent to beautiful black beach. The only issue was that we couldn’t understand how to use electric burner that was different from standard burners like these elsewhere and there was no complimentary coffee and sugar which is not acceptable for such an expensive hotel and is a standard amenity in lower standard hotels. Even at the reception, which is in a different building from the suites the coffee that is offered is not free of charge so with no breakfast that should be the minimum complimentary offer included in amenities . Besides we had a vwonderful stay at the hotel and the staff were very helpful

It was clean and had everything you would need for the stay

The room was very spacious which I really appreciated. It gave us time to stretch our legs being that this was our 2nd and 3rd nights after arriving to Iceland. The front desk seemed to be doing some staff training which was fine - our VIP perk with Expedia was 2 free drinks which was lovely but the bartender made me feel questionable when I asked about them… like I was trying to rip them off and be a free loader but might just be me being too sensitive. The suite had a room for boots and jackets before another door for the bed/kitchenette/living area which was really helpful. The view was lovely - some Common Snipes and White Wagtails visited the porch area in the early mornings which was fun! Tip: they control the heating at the front desk. They had our room set to 30 degrees Celsius (86 F) which made it incredibly difficult to sleep. I requested they turn it down to 20 C, and it took a full day for the room to get down to 25 C with all windows open. So be sure to check temp when you check in.

Lovely place. Great views. Spacious apartments with all amenities. They have a few options for food and drinks which was super helpful for a quick dinner.

Very clean, modern. Reception area has inexpensive coffee, alcoholic beverages. Suites were nice and quiet and well stocked.

A gem of a hotel. We had a unit with a kitchen (no oven) and pullout sofa. The bathroom was large and the entire unit had much appreciated excessive counter & cupboard space. Never had I seen this much useful space. The bathroom was off the entrance room which was wonderful for privacy. Very thoughtfully planned layout. The view was gorgeous, rain or shine. There was daily housekeeping which is very helpful to remove the garbage when you are using the kitchen.

This property offers a fantastic view, especially at sunset, which is why I requested an apartment on a higher floor. The apartment itself is spacious and modern, but I did encounter a few issues during my stay. First, the sofa bed was not set up as I had requested prior to our arrival, although I was able to set it up myself without any trouble. Second, the kitchen was missing utensils, which is inconvenient for guests who prefer to cook during their stay. Third, I had difficulty with the heating; despite adjusting the knob several times, no heat came through, though it wasn’t a significant issue at the time, so I didn’t pursue it further. Lastly, there was a problem with the bedding. My wife woke up with bed bug bites on her hand and back, though my children and I did not have any, suggesting the issue might be isolated to the bed near the wall. Overall, this apartment is great, but these issues need to be addressed.

Close to beach and light house and Vik

Beautiful somewhat remote hotel close to Black Sand Beach. Spectacular views and a very luxurious suite. Short drive to Vik for restaurants and supermarkets etc.

Good location. Clean

Nice room. Beyond that very poor. No one in reception before 3 pm. Only 2 towels in a suit of four people. No way to communicate with reception but to walk over to the reception building (sometimes it rains in Iceland).

This room was stunning. We are avid travelers, typically higher end properties. A lot of care was taken into designing this room, I wish we had stayed longer (we were only there one night and it was a quick in-and-out) The one downside is there no food on property, you have to go into Vik for a meal.

Loved the view from our balcony, so peaceful. The suite was great with everything needed for cooking. Very modern and clean. I recommend to all!

Beautiful room with balcony, heated floors in bathroom, stocked kitchen area, quality towels, friendly and attentive staff, full bar on property, close to shops and restaurants but away from the crowds. Perfect place to stay! If we're lucky enough to visit Iceland again, will definitely stay here again.
