The town of Fort Payne is not exactly the travel destination of the universe, but the area around is beautiful, even in the middle of winter. And these "modern rustic" cabins with plenty of trees surrounding them (particularly Cabin 1) provided the perfect short getaway. The living/kitchen area is very roomy, and the bedroom/bathroom, connecting to the porch with hot tub*, made for a great arrangement. Individual climate controls in the two areas were nice and helped provide the right warmth. While we did not use the washer/dryer, that is a nice plus. NOTE: There is no detergent for the washer and, as indicated in the fine print (make sure to read!) there are no toiletries. *Cabin 1 seemed to have the most privacy, and in particular, it appeared that really no one could see the back porch/hot tub from the other cabins. This property is close to Little River Canyon Falls. It is worth the drive, and the visitor's center is also very nice. We enjoyed a lunch at Rim of the Canyon Cafe, an absolutely no frills, but totally nostalgic and great food choice!

We loved our stay at the Bear Den. The hot tub was amazing! The owner was available and kept in contact to make sure we had all we needed. Very clean and orderly. It was a wonderful stay and we will recommend to others!

This little cabin was just perfect. We are hikers and there were many hikes nearby. The town of Mentone is close and a must see…. We will be back

We loved the cabin. It was just as described. It was very clean. We loved the area as well. It is secluded but still close to restaurants and stores. We had absolutely no complaints! We plan to go back!

The cabin and area it is in are beautiful. I would recommend these cabins to anyone asking. The hot tubs are very clean and well taken care of. Their cleaning service does a real good, job the cabin was immaculate. The wife and i came to get away for a mini vacation and to relax and this cabin was just the place for it. Dont skip out on little river canyon park while you are here. Its 12 minutes down the road and has some amazing views without having to hike to them you drive right up to them. We will be back to this area again, and i will be using atlittleriver.com to book my stay.

It was so quiet and peaceful here. Just what my husband and I needed. We wanted some time for just us before our kids went back to school and all of the craziness started. This is the perfect place for that. We stayed at the Deer Trail last year and loved it so we knew we would love saying here.

For our stay it was perfect, clean, well equipped, a perfect rural location not too far away from Fort Payne, so perfect for stocking up on food and other essentials. Near to a number of State Parks with various trails and places of interest. Would definitely stay again .

Very clean. Hot tub was awesome. Definitely cleaned after every guest. We watched it being done. The lawn care hadn't mowed the grass in awhile, but when Quincy found out he came and weedeated around grill, fire pit and back door. Wonderful stay

What a great cabin and location. The host gave great suggestions for food and things to do in the surrounding area. There are about 8 cabins on the property but they are nicely spaced out with woods in-between giving each cabin privacy. Would definitely book again!

We loved this cabin, particularly the hot tub. Just a couple of hours from home rather than the 5+ hours to the Pigeon Forge area. It's close to town but still feels remote. It's so nice we joked around we could live there.
