Charming and good location. Owner was very hospitable.

Our host Michele was outstanding! He picked us up from the station, booked us into a tour of the Sassi within 90 minutes of our arrival and made sure that he was contactable at all times. The rooms are just on the edge of the Sassi with all the convenience of being easily accessible to everything. The rooms are small but very clean and functional. A fantastic city and an exceptional host.

Great location just off the sassi, Michele couldn't have been more helpful, just a shame we couldn't get breakfast at the moment. Felt very safe walking round the area at night.

It’s a 3 b&b rooms, medium sized, including all you need, newly build and equip, which are located less than 50 meters from the government’s tourism office, restaurants, starting point of the city tour, and the connection between the old and new city.

Host was amazing. He was very accommodating. Allowed a late check-in and there was free parking on-site. Room was very clean and comfortable.

Great place, sort of underground, in the modern town center of Matera, just above the old city and the world-famous caves and rock dwellings. Michele is a very pleasant host and guides you down the narrow alley to the parking spot. The room was nice, clean, and modern and the bathroom was spacious. Breakfast (Italian style) was served at a local bar/resto just a few steps from the B&B. I’d stay there again if I happen to visit Matera again which I sure hope will be possible in the coming years.

Very nicely located close to an avenue yet with the feel and touch of tucked away sassi in the old town. Easy parking in front on a small square owned by the B&B, thus secure. Short walk to all the main highpoints of Matera, both the east and the west side. Duomo close by.

The location is very good and room is clean and large. The hotel is quite new and near the main road with safety. He cant speak Engligh and try to communicate with me. The unpleasant thing was he asked me to pay 94 euro by card and 10 euro more when I checked out. The total price that I reserved by Hotels.com was 100 euros but he asked me to pay more 4 euros because he wanted to draw out the money from the ATM. It is bad to make a trick to get more money from tourist. I visited Matera as a social activist and had a bad image of this hotel. I thank for his effort but please be honest.

Il Nespolo is located in an ideal position to visit Matera's main attractions. The owner, Michele, was incredibly helpful in suggesting what to visit and where to eat. We wouldn't have seen as much without his help.

Michele is a fantastic host. He came to collect us from the place where we had arrived and took us to the accommodation. I recommend you contact him prior to arriving to ensure you agree where to meet otherwise it would be difficult to find using google maps. Saying that the accommodation is perfectly situated very close to the main piazza and main sites. Michele also recommended and arranged a walking tour which was far cheaper than those I tried to book online. The accommodation is very comfortable and clean and the room is authentic and in keeping to what you want to see in Matera. Come to Matera and stay here!

Good position easy walk to restaurants and town.

Great place very close to the center of the town, everything is with n walking distance. Michel is very helpful and nice. Everything that you may need is there and the biggest advantage of this place is its location. I would highly recommend!!!!!!!!
