Somewhat quirky accommodation. We stayed in a twin room with shared bathroom (which was just across the passage, and very neat and clean). Beds comfy although soft (seems to be the norm in Norway). Breakfast was a very nice and hearty buffet.

Would have liked breakfast to start half an hour or so earlier (was from 8), but only as we had a long drive ahead of us. Not the hotel’s fault, but I wish Booking.com can somehow make it clearer when the booking has already been taken from your card (cancellation after a certain date no longer possible), or when payment must be made at the hotel. This always makes for awkward checking of bank statements when checking in…

A nice room in an historical building. The building is beautiful. Room was a bit small but fine. WIFI was fast and stable. Breakfast was OK. Shared restrooms and shower were fine too. The hotel has a restaurant (that I did not try it)

Trully unique and cool place to stay. The staff was helpful even when we arrived late. Lovely breakfast, even delicious pancakes. We had a room with a bathroom, everything was clean.

Breakfast was very good and there was a lake nearby where you can walk. Also, the staff was very kind!

Great location and friendly staff. It is very good to see such historical guesthouses being preserved and surviving time 🙂 very good pancakes! The bed was also very comfortable. The remarkable Vøringsfossen can be reached in only 15 mins by car and the norwegian natural museum is only a couple minutes away walking.

Maybe it would be worth paying extra attention to the cleaning of the furniture (found some dust layers). Adding an air dryer in the bathroom would also be a good point.

Everything was perfect. The staff was very polite. Excellent breakfast (amazing crepes and fried eggs!).
