Good location

Best view of Split!

Very nice, high quality hotel very close to the old town of Split. Except for the absence of a beach, it’s hard to find something just remotely bad about the hotel. Very friendly staff, very nice layout, great location. Would surely go again.

Lovely clean modern hotel with friendly staff. Rooms nice but would have liked a bath. Grest location on the seafront. A few comments: A) breakfast is good but the same every day which gets boring after a couple of days. Would have liked more vegan options too...smoothies or crepes or burritos made to order would have made a nice change. B) most nights, the best tables on the outdoor terrace are reserved for yacht crew who are not staying at the hotel. This is annoying for those staying here. C) the pool is small. As well as an ankle-deep paddling area there is just one lane big enough to swim in and it usually full of people chatting. Don't expect anything more than an occasional dip at off peak times. Lovely hotel and holiday but for the price, we expected a bit more.

Stunning hotel in an enviable location. This place doesn’t come cheap but upon staying here, you understand how they can justify the rates! Rooms are slightly smaller than I expected but are equipped to a very high standard and are decorated extremely tastefully. The public areas of the hotel are beautiful. The main street side bar is spacious with plenty of comfortable seating with incredible views over the port which usually has luxury eye watering yachts moored up! The drinks selection is high end and widespread. The staff will mix any drinks/cocktails at your request. The dining area has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating depending on weather. We only used the breakfast service which was absolutely sensational. The pool area is gorgeous. Food from the pool bar was limited choice but extremely high quality. Drinks were below average if I’m honest. Another complaint was the amount of loungers and furniture for the number of hotel rooms at the property. Lots of folk were just sitting/laying on the floor during our stay but that said, the weather was stunning and encouraged a lot of sunbathing and relaxing during our stay. Staff were courteous and helpful throughout. We didn’t use any of the indoor spa facilities. We wouldn’t hesitate revisiting this brilliant hotel.

A beautiful hotel! The pool has a wonderful view of the boats coming and going. The service was great and the breakfast was wonderful. This hotel was fantastic in all areas.

Hotel was nice overall. The rooms are awkwardly laid out so it is very tight to move around. Most of the staff were nice but there was one guy who was rude and didn’t seem interested in helping us. Location is great and they do have underground parking although it’s $35 euro/night. Breakfast was good.

Wonderful hotel in a great location! We really enjoyed the spa and the pool terrace. The pool is very small so more for a quick dip vs an actual swim. The rooms were very comfortable, with large beds. Great selection of buffet and cooked food was available for breakfast. I would recommend this hotel.

A good place to stay in Split

The rooms had no privacy whatsoever. It’s worthless that it was sea view because you can’t open the curtains. The windows open up to the hotel patio and are not tinted. Breakfast was average with one self-service coffee machine for all the guests. You’d have to line up 15 minutes to get coffee. More if you asked the busy breakfast servers. The rooms were well equipped and clean but tiny.

Great hotel, great location!

If you enjoy tranquility and luxury you will love The Ambasador. Watching the yachts come and go and enjoying the people using the promenade out front from our balcony was a wonderful thing. Looking across the water to the city was magical. The Ambasador is most likely the best place to stay in Split.

My first impression was check-in staff. Excellent personable and friendly. The room view was vast of the port and close to everything! Modern amenities and food outstanding. I travel the world and by far my favorite place!

Excellent in all the way ! Beautiful sea view room. The view is incredible! Location is good; room is clean and big. Bed is comfortable. All staff are good n nice, especially the tall guy manager in the restaurant, very professional, breakfast is good can order hot food; the receptionist also helpful,.I am sure will come back.

Everything was fabulous, from the location and view to the spa, pool, and wonderful included breakfast. My only complaint is that the beds were a little too hard for me and I didn't sleep well.
