The view is spectacular and lovely to have two great taverna's on the doorstep, as well as the beach. Vickie couldn't have been more helpful and organised transport from Athens superbly, making the trip completely stress free. Manolis, from Neso water taxi's, was also fantastic and helped us with so many things, above and beyond!

Nothing not to like. This place is unique

A dream for nature lovers, poets and painters! The house on a rock just above the sea. Large terraces on two levels. Fantastic panoramic view. 1000 different shades of blue, floating in the gleaming light. Most beautiful shades of red at sunset. Very caring hosts. Perfectly organized transport from the airport to the house and back. Comfortably furnished, individually designed house to feel good, embedded in the picturesque ambience of Hydra that looks like a painting.

There is just one place on Earth like Villa Ostria. The person who has built this house has been sitting on these rocks for a very long time observing the nature around to be able to build the house so perfect in harmony with surroundings as it is. The view is astonishing to one side just water, sunset, fishing boats and small islands and mountains to another side. We visited the place off peak season, and it was very quiet. The place is perfect for people who love nature, sun, sunsets, swimming, hiking and good food on houses several terraces. House has its private stairs down to the water where you can swim, and it is was a very special experience both for adults and children. The island offers a lot of magnificent views and places, but it is sort of difficult to come away from the house as it is so special. We travel a lot and use normally houses only for sleeping but here you want to stay and enjoy the view. It can’t get any better.

The furniture is not a Ritz style and standard but you are hopefully not looking for that in Villa Ostria :)
