This very nice old house can host many guests. Excellent location next to the chateau. Sorry we could not stay longer.

We were given early check in, which we were very grateful for coming from Australia. The location is excellent and I am not sure you could find better. The terrace is lovely to sit on and the view is unique. The view from the dining area/table on the ground floor was really lovely - it is only a carpark however the life on the street and the expanse with the castle beyond. 2 of the 3 bedrooms have lovely big windows. I love when apartments leave little things that have been purchased before rather than throw them out (oil, spices etc). It helps reduce waste but also makes life a bit more fun to try something new (like coffee flavours) For the location and the price, I would stay here again in a heartbeat despite the things i did not like.

The house is narrow with (effectively) one room on each floor. This was fine for us as a family however as noted by other reviewers it does equate to a lot of stairs. This would not be great for many people, especially trying to get down to the kitchen in the basement. I think other reviews have also commented on the noise - saturday night was crazy and we were woken a lot. We weren't there for a Friday night. Sunday and the week days were fine. The kitchen is in the basement and it does smell damp which made it less enjoyable to sit down there. Similarly the kitchen has all the cooking electrical bits however is not really set up to actually cook - no sharp knife, tiny saucepans that really only serve 1-2 people. We were there in super hot weather, and the downstairs bedroom doesn't have a window that opens (it has two sky lights and we don't think they opened, and we were also scared we might not be able to close them if we did manage to open them). This room was super hot - we didn't feel comfortable having the street window open as it was at street level and easy access. This sort of heat is unusual however, so i think it would be fine for most visitors. And finally there was a distinct lack of soap! There were lots of shower gels, shampoos and conditoners left, i assume from previous guests, however no soap in any bathrooms. There was hand sanitiser however this is not the same. It isn't a big deal to buy some however anything that makes a trip to the shops more urgent loses a star in my books.

Location

Has no kitchen. Coffee machine was not there. No cups or glass to even take water. Shower was not working properly. Even hand soap/ sanitizer bottles at wash basins were empty
