It was a beautiful apartment and so comfortable with everything you could need for a short stay.

We had a lovely meal up at the Parks Inn which is about a 10 minute walk up the hill. It's not a fancy venue, but serves a really good pub meal with decent portion sizes. Would happily eat there again.

I hadn't appreciated the location was in the middle of a very modern, and seemily ex-local authority, housing estate which didn't jive with expectation set by the online description. I really ought to have checked the location out for myself when booking and not be seduced by the listing details. That aside, which is obviously outside of the hosts' control, I'd constructively comment that: - There was minimal storage in the bedrooms (having a couple of hooks attached to the wall, with hanger dangling from it, in one of the bedrooms doesn't suffice in my view). - A mirror in the bathroom to help with shaving would be a great addition. - The sofa downstairs is super uncomfortable and if you had 4 adults staying in the property, there really isn't enough room for them all to be seated comfortably. (You could pull out the round dining table which is tucked under the stairs but it isn't what you expect from a highly rated property). - The BBQ uses solid fuel rather than being gas fired. It was also rather rusty and unloved. Honestly, for the money this fell a bit short and we didn't bother using it - especially as there wasn't any BBQ charcoals to hand. I appreciate the owners seeking to set a positive marketing tone for the property, but I think on this occasion it may have tipped into a little but of hubris - especially for the money being charged for our stay.

Very comfy beds and very clean Nice and quiet and great location

Beautiful accommodation, felt very luxurious and a real treat to stay somewhere different. Near town so can walk to pubs, shops but beautiful countryside also close by. Handy too to have an enclosed garden for the dog.

The apartment is decorated to a high standard with a really modern appeal. Very comfortable and has all the things you need. Little things like sharp knives and dishwasher tablets make life that little bit easier on arrival.

Some minor damage to the hot tub cover, but I have raised this with the owners. Otherwise there was not much to dislike.
