Fabulous location and accommodation, walking distance to pubs, bars ,cafes and a short drive to other communities including spas. Large balcony onto the main street was perfect for afternoon wine n nibbles. The kitchen is well set up.

There is only the 1 bathroom, we were a group of 5 girls, we managed so don't let that deter you!

So spacious, very clean and gorgeous, there was plenty of room for four of us, on a winter break. Nicely presented, with lots of interesting books! We enjoyed the massive TV and cosy couches. There is a full kitchen with all sorts of useful containers and utensils, as well as a few pantry staples. Easy walk to supermarket, shops, and basically all of central Castlemaine. Hosts were super-prompt in responding to feedback, and they fixed some small issues straight away.

A couple of kitchen appliances are getting old and need attention, microwave oven was replaced during our stay. Because it is in the middle of town, there is some noise at times (delivery trucks, rubbish trucks, neighbouring heating units). The windows seem to leak a lot of heat, which could really be felt in the front bedroom on a cold night. The one small bathroom (toilet, shower, basin) was a bit tight for us at times, and doesn't match the scale of the rest of the place.

We had trouble with the key code until chap from real estate below showed us how to do it. Advice needs a bit more clarity about putting hand over the screen to start. Perhaps say 'cover screen briefly with back of hand until numbers light up'. All was good after that
