We had a great stay. The cabin is cozy and quiet against the backdrop of the river. It’s just far enough away from civilization without being too far away if you want to take a couple hours to visit a brewery or winery. Great hiking too. Highly recommend.

Everything about this place is wonderful - the cabin, the location, the host. It is so peaceful and yet still close to restaurants in Harrisonburg and many hikes (Shenandoah, Washington National Forest). The cabin is very well equipped and clean. We had an absolutely wonderful time and hope we are lucky enough to return :)

Everything is as shown in the photos. Very clean and cozy. We definitely plan to return. The sound of running water outside the door and the fireplace are two of my favorite aspects but there was truly nothing to complain about. Easy check in process and quick replies from the host. We highly recommend!

Perfect size to feel snuggled in the woods but with all the necessary comforts. The house was clean, well-stocked with necessities, and easy to enjoy. I loved the fact that it had its own kitchen despite the small size, and I loved the proximity to town. We enjoyed touring around Dayton and Harrisonburg. We would definitely recommend!

The cabin is very cute and an excellent base with basic needs. Very close to Harrisonburg so there’s plenty to do, but still in a pretty remote area. The roads in the neighborhood are rocky and tight so be prepared for that. The cabin itself is a little smaller than I expected from the photos but very comfortable nonetheless. The staircase is a little treacherous so I don’t recommend staying here and planning to sleep in the main bedroom if you have mobility issues. Even just going to the bathroom in the middle of the night when my joints were slightly stiff was an adventure 😂. Wi-Fi works well but we did have some trouble trying to stream on Netflix. We didn’t really care though cause we had games with us and didn’t go there to sit around and watch tv in the first place. The property owner was great and super communicative. I never waited more than a couple minutes for a response to a message.

Nice cabin and location. The cabin was very clean and well stocked. The price was very reasonable. We were surprised to see a yurt so close. The description implied more privacy but otherwise our stay was great.

My wife and I loved this property. We came during the fall and the leaves surrounding the property was amazing. There's plenty to see within walking distance and there are also some great hikes nearby in George Washington National forest. The property was homely and cozy, definitely worth the visit if you want a weekend getaway.

The cabin was cozy and brook nearby is so perfect. I wish I could have brought my cat, but I can't imagine a better place to destress from day to day life. I hope to come back.

Cozy little cottage, perfect for a couple looking for a weekend (or longer) getaway. I'd love to go back in the fall or winter and take in more of the scenery.

We just needed a cozy, relaxing cabin in the woods for a weekend getaway and thats exactly what we got. The bed is very comfortable. The size is just right and it had everything we needed to have a stress free weekend. My boyfriend and i will definitely book this cabin again along with possibly booking the one next door that the same person owns.

I adored this VRBO location. Such a cute & quant cabin that took you out of your day-to-day and allowed for relaxation. The host provides everything you need including bathroom essentials, wifi, smart-tv, blankets/bedding, kitchen utensils, and firewood. We loved using the firepit to roast hotdogs one evening and enjoy the piece of the outdoors, the swimming hole was a sweet little find, and just allowed for such a homey feel to share with my partner for a long weekend. I hope we will be able to come back in the future!

We loved being in the woods. Perfect place to getaway for a few days for our anniversary. The cabin is very quiet and the walk to the Blue Hole only takes a few minutes. We would definitely stay here again!

Such a relaxing cabin and trails to explore within walking distance of the cabin. Creek is amazing. We enjoyed swimming in the creek and meeting the locals. Our pup had a blast too. Perfect spot with no crowds. Hope to return some. Oh and the bed is so comfortable. The cabin felt like home.

The property was very nice and a bit off the beaten path which made for a great experience if you’re looking to get away from the the pace of everyday life. The swimming hole that’s close to the property was very pretty and worth the walk down. Marcy was also very responsive and pleasant! 10/10

Beautiful cabin, beautiful location! My husband and I stayed here for our first anniversary and it was perfect. The property was clean and had everything we needed to be comfortable. The cabin was so cute and cozy. Our pup, Lucy, enjoyed curling up next to the fireplace in the evenings and also sleeping in the little alcove in the upstairs bedroom. We enjoyed being able to hear the water from the front porch and there were several trails around for some short hikes. Marcy was a fantastic host. We are looking forward to visiting again!
