The wifi worked very well, so well that I could videochat which I wasn't expecting. They also let me check in early, which was nice. Beds were alright, definitely old, pillows on the bigger bed was good, the one on the smaller bed needs to be changed.

The shared bathroom is terrible. You can hear everything anyone is doing in there, and there's no toilet paper in the bathroom. For the shower, you have to fill up the water tank, turn it on to heat for 15 minutes, and then you can shower with a small stream. There's no towel, soap, or shampoo provided. The bathroom itself is super small, there's nowhere to put anything, and I left my belongings outside and then got walked in on. Really cringe. The blanket covering the bed smelled like sweat, needs to be cleaned or just a new one needs to get ordered. The key was really hard to use, and it doesn't lock automatically. When I couldn't successfully open my door, the person working there got annoyed at me. When I checked out and returned back to get my belongings, he spoke to me in Spanish, I didn't understand (I know very little Spanish), and he got annoyed again. Really terrible attitude. The walls aren't soundproof at all, and I got a room that was right next to some parked motorcycles. At 6:30AM, a bunch of people were talking outside, and they woke me up. Then they started their super loud motorcycles to leave. Really terrible experience, didn't get very good sleep.

Just up the hill from the centre of the town with a great view of the mountains, El Shaddai is in a very quiet area. Everything works really, including the wifi which can be temperamental in the area. A nice simple breakfast is provided & the rooms are good value for money!
