The floors were uneven which was difficult with older guests

Very clean and central in Alnmouth. A good little cottage which was cosy on a wet and cold day and very quiet. We liked it very much and would return.

Overall it is cosy and functional. Just to note that there is no washing machine which would be an issue for longer stays. The cottage had a few different ‘step’ levels upstairs typical of older buildings, which could be tricky for older people. The light in the downstairs loo did not work (a small fix). There was no BBC but other channels were there so the TV maybe just needs retuning.

Amazing location moments from the beach, cafes and pubs. Comfy beds. Warm and cosy. Clean. Some quirks which should be expected with a property of this age we thought it was charming.

No allocated parking.

Kitchen was incredibly basic. No washing machine, very few mod cons. The welcome pack contained dish washer tablets, but there was no dishwasher

The lounge furniture was reasonably new, a good fridge/freezer, beds, bedding and towels were good. The toilets and bathroom panels had been cleaned. Location was very good for beaches.

The carpets had been hoovered, but everything else was mucky. The kitchen was in need of a good clean. Kitchen drawers and wardrobes were full of junk and clutter and were covered in grime. Bath and window seals were pealing off and covered in mould. Lots of DIY repairs. The patio area was a disgrace and unfit for use. Parking in the off-season was dreadful - more cars than parking slots. Photos available.

Great location and self check in

Poor insulation and heating making it difficult to achieve or sustain an ambient temperature. Toilet cistern was leaking on bathroom floor and down into kitchen.

good location, comfortable beds and sofas. well decorated

chilly to start with as the night storage heaters had to be turned on by us. once on the house was much warmer
