The tranquility and private swimming pool was really relaxing and certainly a plus.

As it is rather a remote location it is recommended to have a vehicle for transport.

Giulia was incredibly helpful and eager to make things easy. The biggest and best shower and bathroom I’ve seen in my whole stay. No bath but a shower that reminded me of Balinese outdoor ones, it was so large and the pressure so good! Comfy bed in huge room. Giulia brought me a coffee machine and some biscuits do I would have something in the morning. Comfy bed - though very low if you don’t like that - and I slept 9 hours! Something to be said for being away from nightlife.

If you are a pilgrim on the Via Francigena, be aware that it is about 700m off track, and get your directions clear. It’s a bit confusing there. Also the house is not marked and there is no doorbell or intercom. It’s about 15 mins walk to the town for a bar or cafe, and no food at the Villa so be ready. The pool was not really operational when I visited but it looked lovely. The place is quite dark at night and if you are a solo traveller you could feel a bit isolated. The thing that was hardest for me was the wifi. It really didn’t function at all in my room. I had to go and sit on the verandah of the other room, which was ok because they weren’t there but not great if they had been home. Wifi is an issue.

For us it was all about location near family, and of course the pool. Guilia is an excellent hostess and she will ensure your stay is fantastic! Their family near by cafe' 020 is TOP!!!
