Fantastic service beautiful evening meal and breakfast couldnt fault anything ghe staff were all amazing

The staff were so friendly and welcoming. We were given free coffee and biscuits while the lady checked that our room was ready,which it was. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was self serve and lovely. There was full English, cereals, fruits and seeds,yoghurts, croissants and pastries and various breads. Jams,honey and Nutella were available for the toast. It's a very quiet and peaceful location. We would definitely stay here again. Just across the canal was a great canal waterways and boats museum. Well worth a visit.

Terrible Service, Rude Staff,

We had an assessable room which was good except I think overall the bathroom should have more grab rails for the guests. Staff were great, very friendly and attentive

We arrived after a long haul flight wanted somewhere close to Manchester Airport. This was perfect for us. Easy to fine. Quick check-in. Room clean and comfortable, quiet despite a wedding reception. Breakfast was wonderful. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good choice of pastries, cereals and cooked food. Our eggs cooked to order. Coffee served by staff. Its overlooking a canal which is a beautiful relaxing setting to enjoy breakfast. We had a short walk around lovely. Left our luggage whilst we shopped in Chester. Would definitely recommend and will go again if we're in the area.

Lovely hotel just not another around the area

Amazing stay very clean, the staff were great nothing was too much trouble. Swimming pool was warm and the changing rooms were clean will definitely be starting here again.

In summary a very average hotel. Rooms were tired and in desperate need of modernisation. TV facilities poor. In room menu (wasn’t one), Starbucks on-site is a vending machine and car parking is a joke. However, if you just need a room and don’t care about facilities - it will do you.

Excellent friendly staff

Hotel was clean and staff lovely. Breakfast was also lovely but the evening meal was very expensive for what seemed to be mostly frozen food. Overall good stay and would stay again but we would avoid the evening meal and eat elsewhere.

Hotel was ok, however there was very limited facilities within the local area that could be walked too. No Shops, Pubs or Restaurants etc.

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn, and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuine welcome from the front desk staff. Check-in was smooth and efficient. The room itself was immaculate, spacious, and tastefully decorated with modern furnishings. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after a long day of travel. I enjoyed a delicious breakfast each morning at the hotel’s restaurant. The variety and quality of the food exceeded my expectations, and the service was impeccable. The location of the Holiday Inn is perfect for both business and leisure travelers. Every staff member I encountered, especially Steve, went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable. Their attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine hospitality made me feel valued and well taken care of.

My stay with family was lovely. Good location for visiting Cheshire Oaks, and the setting was lovely on the canal side. Staff were so friendly and could not do enough for you. At breakfast my daughter was given feed so she could feed the swans and ducks on the canal which was a lovely touch. Breakfast plentiful and tasty. Would definitely visit again. A lady on reception wrote song lyrics daily for customers to guess the song, which was a nice idea and fun to do. The lyrics on checking out were from Bitter Sweet Symphony- by The Verve

Great hotel and location! The service was brilliant from all the staff but especially the lady in the leisure center, who kindly let my kids us the pool even after I had forgot to pre-book a time slot. The breakfast was great with loads for choices ranging from full English, cereals, pastries, yougherts and pancakes which were freshly made. Would highly recommend and stay again in the future if were ever in the area.

Can’t fault this hotel. The staff made it! All so friendly and welcoming. Very accommodating to children. We were handed a kids goody bag upon check in which included some crayons and bubbles and kept my little one happy for a while. Restaurant staff were great in the evening and again at breakfast. All so lovely. We were given some duck food to feed the ducks too. Definitely recommend this hotel for anyone but especially families.

Lovely hotel, nice small bookable pool and spa room, good breakfast with lots of choice. Accessible room had plenty of room and wet room. Some of equipment tired and rusted. Bed comfy.

A great location for a trip to Cheshire Oaks Outlet Centre (just 10 minutes drive). Hotel is lovely and quiet and the rooms are very comfortable.

I have to say my favorite part of the stay way the stunning views across the Mersey or meal times when I felt that the staff was genuinely interested in hearing about all of the guests' activities and where they had been or were they was going. Nothing was too much trouble, and being remembered by name made the experience even more special. As a returning customer, I was greeted as family, chatted with all of the staff, and had pleasant, caring conversations. As always the reception team house keeping bar and waiting staff night staff were all attentive and nothing was to much trouble well done team of the year and all in the absence of Brian who must be very proud of his team well done ambassadors of Elesmere Port you smashed it out the park again.......

Such a lovely hotel,great location next to the ship canals staff so friendly and a really good gluten free section for breakfast.Stopped here many times and it never disappoints,would strongly recommend

The only thing that was wrong was it looked like our bed had been used. I took a photo and showed it to reception, but nothing came of it. Other than that, everything was excellent

The breakfast buffet included in the room price had a great selection and the restaurant staff (as well as front desk staff) were excellent. Showed us to a table right away and kept our table clear of dishes without us saying a word. Very friendly too. Too bad the pool isn't in the same building but it didn't stop us from using it. You need to book a time slot to use it. Be prepared for a very hot pool area if you're there as a spectator!

Situated in a beautiful setting. The staff were extremely friendly. The room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was excellent.

This was my first visit to the holiday inn Ellesmere Port and was very impressed with the picturesque surroundings. The reception and bar staff were very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend and will definitely stay there again.

Loved our stay but the hotel rooms /ensuite were in need of an update, otherwise excellent

We stayed here as a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids) and everything was perfect. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was very child friendly with a lending library of books and games, colouring and the staff even had little pouches of duck food to feed the swans on the canal. The pool was clean and the water was warm though the changing rooms were very cold and a little tired. This didn’t stop us having an excellent swimming experience though. All in all, we couldn’t have asked for more and both said that we’d stay here again in a heartbeat if we were to return to the area.
