Once inside, the property was as described; however, the outside was overgrown and almost looked abandoned. There was an odor in the laundry room that we thought had maybe been from soured laundry. We discovered that it was from the small trash can in there that the cleaning crew had not emptied before we had arrived and was full of gnats and maggots which we had to empty so that the owners wouldn’t think we left it. Overall, it was a nice location and we had a great stay. The owners may just want to check in with their cleaning company and grounds crew.

This house worked nicely for our family of six. The living/dining room is quite spacious; the kitchen has a nice selection of cookware/utensils, cleaning supplies, kitchen towels & trash bags. There is also a very nice set of oven mitts; however, the thickness makes them difficult to use. It would be nice to have a pair of ordinary potholders. The deck is a great space for gathering, although there isn’t sufficient seating and as another reviewer suggested, it would be nice to have an outside table. I’d also like to recommend the owner add mirrors in each bedroom. The master suite is huge and has a full-length mirror; however, the other bedrooms have no mirrors. There were plenty towels and an extremely nice laundry room….bathrooms could use a bigger supply of toilet paper ( we had to make a Dollar General run for more). We were also surprised to discover separate living quarters (unavailable to us) below the main level as this is not mentioned in the online description. I was glad no one was present in the unit while we were there. The keyless entry and check-in/check-out process was terrific. Great location!

The house was great! It was clean and had what we needed. The bed we had was comfortable and the shower was great. It was peaceful and pretty!

We enjoyed the beautiful view of the lake from the deck and the master bedroom! Our kids loved the game room! And the house is close to all the activities our kids love at Lake Junaluska and Maggie Valley.

This home feels like you are living in the trees!! And through those trees, the beautiful Lake Junaluska. There were 7 of us, including, 4 adults, a 6yo, 3yo and 1yo. The outer house is as appears on listing. It is a split level home. The inside was even better than the pictures. The home is super clean, has more than enough linens, a fully stocked kitchen of utensils, dishes and cooking vessels, newer/clean washer/dryer, some cleaning supplies. There is a kitchen nook and a big dining table which both have a lake view. The balcony was very large and where we found ourselves relaxing almost every morning/evening. Living room is spacious and comfortable! The guest bedrooms/game room were comfortable for sleeping, and had adequate space for unpacking for a week stay. The game room was really incredible, providing entertainment for kids and adults… a definite bonus! The master was.. WOW! It’s very large with windows spanning the length of the room… and the king sized bed was super comfy. When laying in it, you truly get that tree-house feeling. It’s amazing! It also had a large en-suite bath and walk-in closet. All three showers had great water pressure, never ran out of hot water. When communicating with host, we had fast responses and they were very accommodating. Checkout was super easy and there is not much required of the guest. In addition to normal cleanup, I typically strip the beds to help out and they request you don’t! I highly recommend!

Overall a great experience and exactly what was expected. Junaluska was a frequented destination for about 20 years, so I’m very familiar with the views of the Junaluska assembly grounds, lake and mountain backdrop; and this location did not disappoint. Might I suggest, considering the coveted views, that the back deck be cleaned up better for guests’ enjoyment and add a table to sit and share a meal while enjoying the mountain air.
