The location was excellent and the staff vertigo friendly en responsive

It was advertised as a 2-person superior room with kitchen and amenities. There was only a shared kitchen and the room itself was so small that it barely fit 2 persons. Only one chair. One tiny shelf also storage space, not even space for a toothbrush in the bathroom. The AC was placed too high and probably didn’t work well either so the room didn’t cool adequately. The shower window was to small so the water splashed straight into the bedroom. The toilet seat was old and dirty and faced a wall so my gf literally had to sit on it sideways or she wouldn’t fit. The pool is way prettier (and cleaner) on the pictures than irl. Maybe other rooms have in the building were better. This was room no. 10. I would advertise this as a high end hostel, not a boutique hotel.

The rooms were very small. And there was no door between the bedroom and the bathroom/toilet - you have to like that.

Der restaurierte Bau des alten Hauses ist sensationell. Die Lage in der Altstadt ist perfekt, um Restaurants zu erreichen. Und das der Unterkunft angeschlossene junge Café, wo es tolles Frühstück und Kuchen und Sandwiches und Kaffee gibt, ist dank des Personals ein Highlight.

Als Kommunikationsmethode ist eine vorgefertigte Nachricht über Booking.com oder WhatsApp (da dauert die Antwort länger) vom Hotelanbieter gewählt. Es gibt niemals einen Ansprechpartner vor Ort - und hätten wir nicht Manuel im Café gehabt, hätten wir vieles aus Panama City nicht erfahren. Es gibt leider auch keine Werbung von Tagestour-Anbietern kkn Form von Broschüren oder einen Ordner, in dem wir hätten blättern können. Die Zimmer werden während des Aufenthaltes nicht gereinigt - und der Papierkorb (ganz kleiner Kosmetikeimer) wird auch nicht geleert. Das mag egal sein, wenn man 2 Tage gebucht hat - bei einem längeren Aufenthalt ist der Müll nervig. Leider reichen dann auch Duschzeug und Shampoo in der Größe von Proben nicht - die zwar bei Buchung versprochen sind, aber - weil sie nicht nachgefüllt werden - nicht reichen .... am Ende ist das Urteil: Wenn es keinen netten fachkundigen Ansprechpartner gibt, ist der Urlaubsbeginn nicht so schön.

The pool alone is a reason to stay here. Surrounded by hanging plants. It's a magical place!

We had a nice big room on the 2nd floor! Rooftop terrace is very chill and the cafe under the hotel will also bring your breakfast and drinks there. Location is great with (paid) parking nearby.

ROOM: Stylish room with upscale interior design, polished bathroom, amenities (hairdryer, toiletries, bottle of water) and a rooftop SECURITY: Quick and easy access to building with code for extra security LOCATION: Centrally located but quiet LUGGAGE STORAGE: I was able to store my luggage prior to check-in ROOFTOP: Lush rooftop with lounge chairs and a nice view FREE TOUR: I was told that there would be no free tour so I organized my own tour. Last minute, I was told it would happen but unfortunately in the end i didn't take it. There are a free daily tours offered of the Casco Viejo, based on donation.

AMENITIES: AmazeINN is advertised as an apartment, which it's not. It is a hotel room with a shared kitchen space. This was the primary reason i for my booking so I was a little surprised upon arrival. CUSTOMER CARE: One of the things that distinguishes a boutique hotel from an average hotel is individual service, making customers feel welcome and have them have an unforgettable experience. Mauricio responded quickly by whats app but didn't answer my call. I personally didn’t get the feeling of being a valued guest. VIBE: As a solo female traveler, getting to know the locals, speaking to staff etc. is very important. It helps me settle in a new place quicker. If this is one of your primary reasons, I suggest you go somewhere else with a reception and lounge area to hang out or meet other fellow travelers. If you value your privacy, then you will like it very much.
